I didn't have a Live account when I got my 360 and after recently getting a Live account I tried to transfer the save from my offline profile to the new Live profile. I finally figured out how to do it yesterday and moved all of my data...NOW IT'S GONE. I was halfway through COD2 on Veteran mode and after I tried to move the save to a new profile yesterday, it deleted everything. The shitty part is that the save only saved the stage I was on!!! All the other stages weren't saved and weren't unlocked. After I copied the data onto my new Live profile, I tried playing the game from my new Live account and it started up exactly in the same place as my old profile. So because I thought it was safe to delete my old account, and went back to the dash, deleted it and thought I was homefree. When I started playing COD2 again and beat that stage I was on, it started me all over again. A look at the unlocked stages made me aware of the fact that only that one stage was unlocked...moving the save didn't allow me to save all the unlocked stages!!! What BS...sorry...I just had to vent. Now I have to start all over again...Bullshizzzzzzzle!!!!

yeah im sorry that happened. i think developers were having trouble with the profile and saving management because in both condemned and CoD2 when i was showing friends the beginning of each game, the game refused to let me continue from my save point (condemned just froze everytime i tried to load up the save and CoD2 just started me back at the beginning of the entire game) but i keep telling myself these are launch titles so bugs and issues are to be expected, still sucks it had to happen to you so late in the game. i just beat CoD2 last night on the second hardest diffaculty and its one of the best games i have ever played.

I hope you didnt have to beat it on an easier setting than Hardened the first time thru for achievements to stick. Its showing you beat it on easy, but not Hardened, when I know for a fact you did so on Hardened.

This time around I'm going to play the entire game on Veteran. I started it on the level middle level and then went to Veteran after breezing through the first few levels. I wanted something that felt more realistic. Do you boys know if you get anything special for beating it in Veteran?!?

Getting all the achievements is getting close to impossible due to the game erasing data.

that is BS!! i beat it on the second hardest diffaculty which i thought was hardened. you were around when i started the damn game at that level!! i may beat it again on veteran but ill be pissed if it doenst show it.

Im thinking to get all the points, they force you to play it starting at the easiest level and work your way up? That would be lame, but in the end, its just points. You loved the game and you got your $60.00 worth

that sucks that you lost your saves man. i have a similar problem in nba live 06. i make a character, change rosters and save it like 100x's just to make sure, i restart the 360 and nothing saved. i blame it on the game and not the 360 since it is the only game i have that does it and it isn't that finished of a game to begin with.

I was playing through and was near the end of the game and a friend came over so I decided to show him normandy. Well it auto saved and when I went to play it again the next day it started back on normady, I was about 2 levels past that. I was like what the fuck I dont want to do that all over again, it was insane. So I went to the mission select and there were all the levels I had beaten so I was able to continue from my original game. Long story short, try going into the mission select instead of continuing the campaign and the last level you completed should be available. Hope it works, great game and plan on going back to it on the highest difficulty after I get through Perfect Dark. I just finally started playing it on Perfect Agent(hardest) or whatever its called and it is insane. The game looks amazing, don't know how people can put the graphics down. Also picked up Condemned and DOA is coming soon so its going to be a busy december.

I tried that...the only level that was unlocked was that one level it took me back too...which was half way through the game!!! The other levers above and below it were all locked. Very strange. Anyways, started from scratch and beat Russia yesterday ...not enough time in the day!

definately. I kinda regret agreeing to all this OT I am doing this month, taking me away from my 360 play time. Guess I will be happy once I buy a new HD tv with all that extra cash.

I've emailed activision support many times about this and they said that they are currently researching the issue and hope to release a patch soon. We'll see if they really do or not.
