What a cock sucking son of a bitch idiot. I'm sorry, but this Cnet idiot is clearly an anti-MS flaming faggot trying to convert others to his views. Jesus christ what a fucking stupid article... X-S should refrain from all news items like this which are no more than personal idiotic rants that have no merit.
The #10 "reason" is direct proof of how bullshit this article is and how much of an idiot this Cnet guy is. I'm normally extremely civilized, but I can't help but go off on this pathetic fuck "David Carnoy." What a fucking idiot.
Let me break down his bullshit "reasons" for you:
=== TOP 10 REASONS NOT TO BELIEVE A WORD THIS IDIOT SAYS ===
1. Beige isn't the new black.
Come on... What the fuck is this bullshit? Come up with some real reasons if you want any respect. Idiot. Just because he doesn't like the color white doesn't mean nobody should buy the console. Not only that, but who gives a fuck when you can easilly paint your console whatever color you want... Much easier than painting a black system, too. Plus you can get a faceplate of whatever color you want. This guy needs to be fired from his 'job.'
2. No killer games at launch
Riiiiight. The 360 lineup has been called the "best launch lineup ever" by MANY critics. What the fuck does this douchebag expect, a 'Halo 3'? Get real... The launch lineup kicks a LOT of ass. If anything he should have made this "reason" to state that there could have been more titles released within 1 month of the 360 launch than there is... Now 'that' is actually a -decent- reason.
3. Accessories cost a small fortune
First of all, NO, these accessories do NOT cost a 'fortune.' Secondly, anyone remember the accessories for Xbox1 and/or PS2? They were just as expensive (controllers, memory cards...). What a dumbass. Thirdly, if he's expecting a next-gen system to have accessories more than MAYBE $1-5 cheaper than the 360's accessories than he's having a wet dream. Idiot.
4. The hard drive isn't big enough
I agree that it -could- have been a little bigger.... Do I really care though? No.... Whoever seriously wants to download every single item on the Xbox Marketplace and/or wants to keep them on the hdd for more than a few days or weeks is an idiot (except for extremely meaningful items and/or Arcade games). Also a larger 2.5" SATA hdd would have costed significantly more money. Sure it wouldn't be $50 or more, probably, but it would still be more. Plus if you're really that kind of a person who never wants to delete anything they've downloaded, M$ will definitely put out larger hdd's in the future. All-in-all, though, the size of the hdd really isn't a deal-breaker so sorry you Cnet fuck but you're wrong again.
5. Limited keyboard/mouse support at launch
Ummmm.... There's a reason M$ doesn't make keyboards/mice more compatible (such as making fps titles kb/m compatible). Why? Well if they did, then people with controllers would get raped and would be complaining non-stop at M$. Okay, so they could just get a kb/m, too, and start kicking ass again, right? Wrong... I am NOT the minority when I say that I would prefer for home console systems to NOT support kb/m for fps titles. Why? First of all, as already stated, you will essentially HAVE to play with a kb/m to stand a chance, unless you're a truly 1 in 1,000 person who's seriously better with a controller than a significant amount of kb/m people. Now before anyone bitches at me saying I'm wrong, let me say I have experience! I've experienced this with Dreamcast and Q3Arena... Believe me, if you didn't have the DC kb/m than you were as good as 1 kill and 15+ deaths. EVERYONE complained. Secondly, though, playing with a kb/m is less comfortable for most people... You can't exactly lay back in your couch or lay-z-boy with a kb/m.. It's physically possible but insanely impractical... Believe me. As for other kb/m support what would you want? I hear you can already use them all over the dashboard like typing text messages to 'friends'... Even if you can't, who cares? Just send a voice message... My god. Idiot Cnet fuck, once again this is NOT a deal brekaer for buying the 360 or not.
6. No built-in Wi-Fi
What more can I say than this is certainly not a deal breaker? First you have the wireless adapters available at launch... Sure it costs some more money, but if you're that serious about wireless connectability than surely you have some spare money. Secondly, can you really blame M$ for trying to get a few more bucks out of you? I can't... It's good marketing. Thirdly, don't you think internal wireless support may possibly result in more chances for your system to malfunction? I think so... Idiot. Lastly, the fact remains that more than 50% of the people with Live (probably 75%+) actually have/want wireless networks and/or the 360 to be wireless. Enough said...
7. Not enough USB ports, especially on the back
Come on... There are more than enough... There's really not enough more to say about this other than this guy is a total idiot... Talk about absolutely stretching his idiot 10 IQ to find something as lame as this to list... God, what a fucking idiot!
8. No HDMI or DVI connectivity
Oh my... You got to be kidding me. I'm a A/V enthusiast and especially in the field of high definition. What more would HDMI or DVI give you with the Xbox 360? Hmmm... Literally less than 5% of a difference in quality, and NO I do not mean it would be as high as 4.9%. I'm such an A/V fanatic that yes, I would care about 5% but enough to complain about it to anyone/anywhere/anytime? NO... If he actually played the 360 on a HDTV with the component cables, for example, he would take this back... Then again this guy is obviously a complete idiot so who knows. I got HDMI and DVI and PC and Component, etc., etc. connections on my 50" DLP TV, and I have NO complaints the 360 doesn't support HDMI/DVI. As a matter of fact, all my other HD components are using up all my HDMI/DVI jacks, so it's actually very nice to use my 360 on component and get 95-100% the same quality as if it had HDMI/DVI. This Cnet guy can fucking blow me; he obviously doesn't know enough about HDTV or else he wouldn't have even said this. Yes HDMI/DVI would still be a compliment, but NO it would not be a big deal in any way and by no means is it a 'deal breaker' reason to buy or not to buy a 360.
9. No built-in card reader
Just like built-in wi-fi, this could give your 360 more reason to crap out on you. Okay, yes this feature would still be nice, but with all the other ways to view digital pictures (including even hooking up your digi camera that HAS a card in it -- omg what a novelty, imagine that), what the fuck are you complaining about? What an absolute moron; I can't believe this idiot has a job at Cnet. DEFINITELY not a reason not to buy the fine next-gen system the 360 is.
10. You can't get it.
This guy is smart - he actually tells us with this moronic 'reason' exactly how stupid he is and why we shouldn't take his advice and 'not buy the Xbox 360.' EVERY next-gen system is going to be sold out (at least to some degree) when it first comes out... And if he's a Sony fan, and I don't know if he is or not, than what are we supposed to do - buy a PS3 that doesn't even exist right now? Japan is going to get a PS3 way before us Americans will be able to get one and THEY won't even get one for probably 6-10 months. So what is this guy really saying here- Wait 'til you CAN buy it and THEN buy it? That's surely what it sounds like... Doesn't that mean his entire 'article' contradicts itself? YES. Fucking idiot.
----------------------
Even if I wasn't a Xbox fan (and I am, but not any 'fanboy' despite what you might think), I would still say every single thing I have said in this post and no I'm not joking one bit... Everything I said is true and every 'reason' this fucking idiot cites is NOT A DEAL BREAKER OR A REASON 'NOT' TO BUY A 360. This is a completely moronic reply I've got here to an even more moronic news article. Believe it.
Sorry but you are a fanboy... Your opinion seems to be fixed on one side, that makes you pretty mucha fanboy.
For #10, what he meant was that MS didn't produce enough of them to satisfy most Americans, I mean, only 400 000 of em! Are they insane or is it stupid marketing strategy?
#9 Not all digital cameras or camcorders come with a usb cord. And don't forget that a lot of people use those cards to share their photos, videos, etc.
#8 You're right
#7 You're right
#6 Wi-fi is really important now. I for one decided not to buy the 360 for that reason alone. I'm a fulltime student, spending 100$ more makes a huge difference for me
#5 Altho I do admit a keyboard is useless, a mouse would be more than conveniant when browsing through Live when downloading.
#4 It is a deal breaker since it couldve been easily avoided. Just by making the console a bit bigger, the 360 would've had at least 120 Gigs.
#3 Umh... It does cost a lot more than past generation consoles, go double check the prices.
#2 I do remember the launch of N64, one of the greatest game of all time launched with it, Mario 64. It is possible to have a killer app from Day 1 but then again, MS is to blame for hurrying the launch.
#1 If someone is an idiot, it is you. Notice the title: Ten things I hate about the Xbox 360, it's his opinions, we all have our own opinions, get over it, so what if he doesn't like Beige? He's not trying to convince anyone, he's just stating his o-p-i-n-i-on. Freedom of speech, remember?
