Im tired of seeing the same questions/misconceptions over and over. Maybe this will help. Feel free to add you own.

Why are there so few 360s?

M$ decided to do a worldwide launch. Instead of spacing out the EU and JAP launches 6 months from the US launch they are all within a week of each other. Also the chip yeilds are really low. This means that only a fraction of the chips they produce can be used.

Why does my 360 rattle?

There is a ball in there that senses whether the system is vertical or horizontal so it can display the controller quadrants correctly(DO NOT SWITCH THE CONSOLES POSITION WHILE THERE IS A DISC IN THE DRIVE)

Why only a 20 Gig Hard Drive?

YOU CANNOT PUT YOUR OWN CONTENT ON THE DRIVE There is no need for it to be so big. The only content stored on the drive is:

Xbox Live Marketplace downloads
Gamesaves
Ripping and audio CD to the drive like on Xbox1(you can rip burned discs though)

Why do I only have 13 Gigs of free space?

There are hidden partitions the 360 uses for emulation, cacheing data, ect. Just like Xbox1 where you only got 5 gigs of the total 8 gigs.

Will my Xbox1 controllers work on the 360?

NO. not even with USB adapters. The 360 controllers do not work on Xbox1 either.

Is the PS3 better than 360?

There is no such thing as a PS3 yet. They cannot be compared.

I agree 100% with this kid, hes right. People need to stop asking these stupid questions and get on with there lives. (and those that complain about there 360, just shut up and return it if you care so much). This isn't MS.COM so lets stop the complaining.

I agreed with everything except for this. M$ wanted us to "make the 360 yours" and for us to use it as a media center if we didn't already have one. The bad part about that is that I have over 20 gigs in music in mp3 format and almost 20 gigs alone in pictures. SO I NEED MORE ROOM!!!

This thread is not needed.
The whole of this and more detail is in the sticky at the top already

Fact is people read it or don't but still go on to ask the same thing over and over. This applies accross the board

What the hell is the big deal about being able to view pics on your TV with your 360? How is that in any way useful? "ooh, look! There's my picture!" So? "It's on my TV!" ...so?

Well if you have a bunch of family/friends pictures and dont feel like printing every picture but want to show family/friends the 360 would be a great way to do it.

Well...for instance. When my wife and I came back from our Honeymoon and had a party at our house, everyone wanted to see our pictures. We didn't have the pictures printed yet, and I knew that putting the pictures on my tv would be easier for people to see rather than to have 10 people looking on a 17" flat panel. Since then, I actually show my family members pictures of vacations, events, etc. on my tv rather than my pc monitor...

Use XBConnect... no reason to have ALL that crap actually ON your 360... either way you gotta live with it for now.

Dude

You cant put it on the hard drive.
I dont know how else to say it. Unless you have the actual CDs or burned copies of them and rip them one at a time to the hard drive. That is the only way to get the music ON THE HARD DRIVE. But the 360 works very well streaming from connected devices and from your PC. If you have to have all of your pics and mp3s "on" your 360, get a USB hard drive and leave it plugged in all the time
