ive read and i have read and i have burned and bought a new external dvd burner.i dont know what im doing wrong so heres the specs

i have a samsung dvd drive
i burn my backups at 4x or 3x
i use dvd-r (maxell media)
and i patch the xbe files with quix and i used craxtion
I did EVERYTING in that good trouble shoter that chelf elf has.

what i my backups do when i try to load them.

i put it in, then my screen says "please wait while loading disc" then the screen turns black and my avalaunch logo shows up....then it says, please wait while loading disc, then my avalauch logo will show..

basically it will do that over and over again, untill i turn it off then back on again.

any help would be nice

like i said, i did everything that chelf elf said to do....
Mr Ed
why are you seeing a dash? What happens when you boot off the game disc?

@ the original post, do you still have a blank DVD-R? If so pop it in your burner and use http://www.dvdinfopro.com to find out the full media manufacturer info. Recently Maxell has taken a bit of a dive in quality as they have started outsourcing to Taiwanese manufacturers.

Who is hester? Your grandmother or something. blink.gif Or did you mean: JESTER. biggrin.gif

Anyways I agree on the TY media but I would still like to know the basic media manufacturer info. He still hasn't given it to us yet. Also is the media MIJ (Made In Japan) or MIT (Made in Taiwan)?
