I can't get 3 black pearls... it's starting to make me

I get close, and instead of making a flower of the star pieces I'll break 4 of them and have to get so many more...

Yeah, I haven't played a whole lot, but those pearls are hard to get.

god i cant stand building up 5 stars to have four collapse... esp by the time dark green comes around... too many damned colors...

You have to build the stars early. When the dark colors show up, move away from the border; that way the bombs fall in the "controlled area". This allows you to attack the bombs from any direction instead of fighting them off with only one side to your advantage. Keeps this up long enough and you will get more stars even with the darker colors present.

yeah if you're going for a black pearl star start as early as possible...

Every move you make should be with the intent of making a flower. If you're in marathon mode there's no time limit so don't worry about sitting and thinking about a move for a while.

Also if you create a regular flower around a star a new star will drop down from above, it's a lot easier making a flower if you can rotate the pieces of the flower around.


I can usually get a black pearl by the end of level 1... I've had enough black pearls to make a flower out of them once but I a bomb came and I lost the game before I had a chance to assemble them

the flower around a star only produces another star if the star is at or below a little above halfscreen...

Another thing, you can get easy flowers by placing 2 stars wthin two spaces of eachother. This way you can cycle one so that it fills partially with a certain color. Then use the other to "feed" colors to the primary star. This can get you enough stars that creating a black pearl won't be do daunting.
