Here is my situation: I modded my friends v1.6 xbox with an executer X3 chip. (i have since riuned the chip with a bad bios flash (long story). Now all it does with the chip plugged in is FRAG.

When the chip is unplugged I can boot to ms dash.

I have my own modded xbox with an x2.6 chip that works fine.

WHat are my options to get my friends xbox back up and running (looking for a TSOP flash solution)

All he wants to do is to be able to boot straight into evox to get to XBMC.

I have search the fourms but I have not found what I am looking for.

I feel really bad frying my friends chip and would love to be able to fix it so that he can boot XBMC.

(ps. he has a 160 HD what already has xbmc, exox etc on it) and IT DOES boot to msdash when the chip is unplugged.)

The one thing i was thinkging was to plug in mychip on his LCP and then somehow flashing his TSOP - maby with slayers?

I can't stress how much I would appreciate some help on this one

Thanks

You managed to flash all banks on the X3 with a bad bios??

I thought the X3 had a recovery mode or backup bios to cover this sort of situation... have you checked out their web site for support?

Like stated above, the 1.6 has no tsop, so you will not be able to flash it. Simply boot off of the lpc with your chip, then once booted to the dash, pull yours off and place the x3 on the pinheader and plug in the switch. Then you can use FlashX (available at the usual places) to flash your chip.

Or boot into the X3 backup FlashBIOS bank by hitting power and eject at the same time. The X3 logo should turn purple and you should be able to flash it with the emergency copy of FlashBIOS it will boot into.
