Hey boys and girls. It's the 19th and apparently this is the release day for Dead or Alive 4...atleast last time I checked. I was just wondering if anyone got to play it yet. I'm trying to get it before the 25th and I was also wondering if any sites reviewed this game yet. So far, www.videogames.com and ign.com haven't. If people can contribute to keep us posted about this title. Thanks!

Best Buy.com says the release date is today

It unfortunately isnt going to be released until either the 22nd or 28th.

i wonder if there will come a day that you guys stop depending on game site, stores, and online release dates. the only dates that matter are those from the developers and publishers, no list that you can find at a Best buy, EB, gamestop, or walmart is up to date. if this whole DoA debacle didnt teach you guys nothing will. the most rescent date announced is the 29th BTW. honestly i doubt we'll see it before the end of this year, i say take as long as needed, just give us the best we can get.

I work at a store. Its supposed to be released on the 21st in the US. This doesn't mean that thats when it gets in though. Only games that are street dated (Halo 2) get out on their release date. This just means that it will be shipped out on the 21st and arrive in stores on the 22nd. According to IGN as well as my stores release dates, it will be released on the 21st in the US and on the 29 in Japan.

The point is, unless you work at tecmo, the release dates are constantly changing. Apparently rumors are circulating and stores are supposed to have them by the 22nd. Instead of posting and appearing like an @ss, I'd lower the tone and try and be more helpful to these people that are trying to get this game for their kids for christmas. Yes, a better polished game is what we all want, but thanks for the heads up from the developers. I know you meant well, but even that isn't a guarantee. :-).

im one of those people waiting for this game and your right there is no gaurantee until i see the copy in the store. however i dont pay any attention to any print out or quote from a store they are the most unreliable source for game dates. i really hope its its true that it will be out on the 22nd but i dont see how we will get it before japan does, if anything i would figure we all get it the same day, 22nd to the 29th seems to be a long time to make the japanese market wait.

becides isn't the 29th the latest date from the Tecmo newsletter.

IIRC it hits stores the same day in the US as it does in Japan.

LOL I can't be the only one that finds the random collection of launch dates from the largest retailers pretty funny. Walmart, CC, and BB all have different dates. Gotta love tecmo, it was even more off a few days ago. Ahh well, I really want this game to come out. It will be the killer app in mind for the 360. Now I just have to hope my local gamerush actually gets games in on release day this time.

Seems like the game should be on its way soon. Since Ign played the final version for two days solid.

well, i preordered my copy from gamestop online, so i'll just play some kameo, perfect dark, and condemned until it comes in.

great choices...I'm taking next week off, I was hoping to play it earlier than the end of the week...oh well, thems the breaks...it will be worth the wait...

I'm eagerly awaiting this game. I was at Toys R Us today and I decded to look for it. On the games rack I saw 2, both in the oversized plastic security thingy. I grabbed them up and both said "Display Only". I think someone did it as a joke, only actual games were in the security cover, all the displays were "loose".

Anyways, Blockbuster said they'd have it on the shelf tomorrow. Crossing my fingers.

4 or 5 people have it on ebay. I asked them and they said they have the game in hand. If you're desperate, you can always have them overnite a copy to you. I'll tough it out until the 29th though.

Isn't there a DOA4 demo/video on an XBM disc? That would explain that guy having it in his tag and not having anything unlocked.

I realy hope it's released on the 28'th, the date EB and Walmart have listed as it's date.

i pre ordered it and it is said to be due out on december 29 - was told the same thing from every store i asked around here

distribution houses are suposed to recieve their games on the 28th... meaning that it goes on sale when it gets to the store

so 28th if youre lucky... else probably the 29th at major chains and sometime the following week at the smaller chains.

So far the date hasn't jumped past the 28th anywhere so lets hope it doesn't happen again.

we will know to tommorow wether the game ships or not this week everyone cross you fingers.

now its slipped back to the 30th on gamestop.com and the 29th on ebworld looks like odds of getting it this week are pretyy grim.

and acording to her there is NO set release date for dead or alive 4 anything you hear or read from a store is BS acording to her she could get it tomorrow or next week she doesnt know.
so basicly its out when its out...

its not just eb games, and the reason behind it is the delay the game keeps getting pushed back

According to this post on the XBox.com forums, Dead Or Alive 4 has been released in Japan. Now, if the poster is to be believed, we should see this game hit shelves here in the US in hte next day or so. Tagged with rumor for now since it is based on a forum post, but here's to hoping!

either way when i called EB they said its still on track for release tomorrow. what i find weird is that there wasnt any announcements of the game even going gold. for such a high profile game like this you would think that announcements or atleast a mention would be made of it going gold.
