I had the Monster Cable HD pack for a month when my screen went "green." After making calls, I was told to go buy the MS one to solve the problem. It did. I am currently using it with no problems.

I exchanged the $65 Monster Cable setup for the $20 - $30 M$.

One additional item.

I have the HD pack on an unmodd'ed XBOX.

When I switch it to my SmartXX modd'ed XBOX I get either a black screen or one which is garbled.

I have looked around and thought I had read a fix to it but cannot locate it now.

Anyone able to point me in the right direction??

The official M$ one also has optical audio out, don't know about those others.

Other than the one complaint in this thread, I have not heard any complaints about Monster Cable besides the price. I can tell you firsthand that I strongly believe you should stay away from Madcatz cables, because I have one of those Universal ones, and the S-Video stopped working on the Xbox port. They are poorly made. If I were you, I would save some money and go buy the one from M-soft. As stated in the previous post, if you ever want to upgrade to DTS, there is the fiber optic out, which the other cables do not offer.

If you want to save money, just buy the MS HD A/V pack. It's better quality then the Madcatz.
