muhaha.gif I just got the disks today, from ebay, along with a silver version disk of ALIAS, and a xbox August 2001 recovery disk. I have bought 4 other disks from this seller in the past with no problems, they were BMX XXX, Ledgends of wrestling 2, XGRA, and Dakak2. When I bought it, the guy said it only seems to work right on certain xbox's. I tried it in two different xboxes, and it will only play the security video you see when you put the disk in a normal dvd player, or computer. When I take out the dvd playback kit, it says it can't play this dvd with out the dvd playback kit, and to please remove the disk to continue. On my modded xbox, I have the evox dash as default dash, and it just says video. I have tried several different file explorers, all with no luck, it only shows the video files (that ones that make up the security video) I have no idea how to make this disk work. Please help me. Thanks muhaha.gif

I have simmilar beta discs and they will only play in my XDK. My modded and stock xboxes will only see them as dvd videos.

Oh ok thanks, Have you tried copying them to your xdk, then to your modded xbox? would that work?

I tried Mechassault 2 and Forza, neither of them would run on the modded box (black screen when tried).

Have you tried running the disc with a debug bios.
Also the disc might be for a beta live debug kit.
Paintballpsyco2369
I have not tried running it with a debug bios, and if it was for a beta live, would running it with a debug bios work?
NotZero
I think he failed to read the part where I said that the discs will run on a Debug Kit, so yes they will run on a debug bios. The games might need the extra RAM in the XDK to run.

muhaha.gif Ok, I have a onld hd that I modded with 4627 XDK. I have to use PBL to get it to work, would that work? Or do I have to use like a yoshario bios?

What 'type' of Xbox's are you trying to run these disc's on?

...When an Xbox just shows the dvd security screen it usually means two things:

1=You are trying to play a retail disc in a Debug / Dev Kit.

2=You are trying to play a Debug/Dev signed disc in a Retail console.

NotZero
And the answer is #3; He's trying to run a signed Debug disc in a modded retail console.

I don't know if using a debug bios will let you read the discs or not. I could only get my XDK to read the silver discs I have. If you do get your modded Xbox to read the discs, the games might not run since they are ment for Debug Kits which have more RAM.

Lol, he didn't say what sort of Xbox, thats why I asked the question...

...But 'yes' if they are enabled to run on 128mb RAM then that would account for them crunching out on a modded-retail console.

A 'regular hacked debug bios' won't let you read a properly debug signed disc, only the genuine kit will let you do that, with the proper dev ver MCPX hardware.

Ok, it is a v1.0 with standard thompson dvd drive, I have a modded 200gig maxtro drive in it, and I have a Aladdin Super Live chip installed with a 256k bios which I use a custom modded m8. Is there a way to limit the amount of ram to 64? I am hopefully getting a debug soon, so I may not need to worry. AS for trying the XDK part, I am trying to use the cracked 4627 setup, and I use PBL to load the bios, then the 4627 XDK Dash. And by [proper dev ver MCPX hardware] do you mean just the debug/dev version of the MCPX 2? Or something else? THanks for all the help guys.
Paintballpsyco2369
Somehow I got it working. I accidently left the disk in when I went to use the 4627 dash, and it loaded right up to the game. so I opened the console, booted into xdk, then went to xbmc, and used its feature to open, then close the drive once I put the disk in, then went back to 4627 dash still using the debug bios, then launched dvd2xbox, and I was able to make a backup copy of the game on the hd. THanks for all the help.

Paintballpsyco2369
