Hello.

I cant seem to find the option to disable the blinking LAN and HDD leds on my X3 switch which is on the front of the xbox. I would like to be able to turn these off when watching a movie so it isnt distracting.

you cant disable it becuase the chip does not controll thhose leds...those are just being powered by the mobo where you soldiered the hdd and lan lights..if you want to disable them then desoldier those wires

Or hook up a small DPST switch to the LAN & HD wires.

the DPST switch idea interests me. But i dont know how i would set it up so one switch controlled both seperate LED wires?

See how it has 4 terminals... two would be for the HD, two would be for the LAN.

You have the wire from the board go into one side of the switch, then you have the wire to the chip going out the other side of the switch. Real easy.

I'd say just head out to Radio Shack... or some other electronics store, and look at the switches they've got. Find one you like... and ask questions. They can probably help you out.
