ight ive played all the doa and tekken and soul calibur series and this game is far from any of those in its difficulty..

1. stage 8 or round 8 seems to be always harder then the rest of the stages sometimes stage 6 is a bit of a challenge also.

2.it takes at least 15 to 30mins to kill the alpha152 (last boss)

3.every character i've used always gives me problems in kickin her ass

... dude. i have a lot of things to tell you. ok this is my first game like fighting and stuff. the first time i faced her i beat her my second time. just do combo moves like throws and stuff. you just used punch and kick. try some things with 'L' . i personally thought it was kinda of easy. just the one time i had trouble i was playing with the guy that goes like WHA! at the end of every move. im just stunned that you sux that much.( not to be rude man but im just saying the truth). just work on combos and throws and you will be beating her in no time.

Your a liar you dont have the achievment for beating story mode.

Anyway, I'm impressed you even hit her. When I was playing as Spartan, Alpha got 2 perfects on me. I know I'm not that great, but DAMN! Welcome to the club.

She is by no means easy. I haven't beat story mode with everyone yet. But I'm all for Jan Lee ever since DOA 1 ....You can beat her with short combos and Power moves (Like Jan Lee's side kick or flying kick or his kick your ass across the room punch)....I had an easy time beating her with Ryu...his cartwheel and then follow up flip kicked worked well...usually I can beat her in about 1 - 5 matches..

you guys are dumb. i beat the game offline i can show the vid. trust me i beat the game. im no noob to gaming.
but if you think i didnt beat the game then i really dont care because i know i beat it myself. ill try to get the vid up. and whats funny is that i could probaly beat you guys.

Regardless of lie or not, I have to agree with you - she is easy to beat. It took me maybe three times. I had a harder time with other characters - not her.

just sit back and use ranged attacks. when she is close, quick combos can interrupt most of her moves and she doesnt ever coounter.block a bunch. she is still a brute though

Still it's no lie I found Alpha easy after the first 15 encounters and one round I almost got a perfect (she hit me once).

I'm with whoever said that Stage 08 normal characters can get much nastier than Alpha Kasumi ever could.

I beat Alpha on my second try with Ayane, twas actually quite easy, but got my ass kicked trying with Lisa, LeiFang and Hitomi. Thats when I handed the controller to kage, lol

The game is indeed quite different from past versions. Damn is it easy on the eyes, and the ladies....

Yeah she wasnt too bad on Story mode. Im having trouble when I have to play her on the time attack, where you have to beat her twice and stay under time, thats agravating.

Yep, story mode is no problem..time attack? Wow.

I beat Alpha on my second try with Kasumi, she was a a bitch to beat using Brad though.

While Alpha has some really cheap moves, I usually find the previous 2 before it a lot harder. After playing Time Attack mode over and over you get to find what works against Alpha and it's rather simple. At the beginning of each round before the match starts, move really close to Alpha and just press punch continuously for combos. For most characters, pressing back + p + k charges up and if you get the right rythmn you can keep doing this and Alpha will warp close to you and keep getting hit. Also, running attacks work really well and can be repeated over and over. It usually takes me 3 or less tries to beat Alpha in Time Attack now. I wish I could say the same for the characters before.

Well I gotta say the guy in the video looks a crap player - lol - just truthfull.

Anyway where you guys get it from as Im in Manchester UK and it not out yet...

Anyway to backup games also - might be wrong section but could do with knowing. I realise no chip/mod out yet to play backed up games but I could do with knowing how to back them up for future use...

Does anybody else play with bass? I think he is like the best character, beside the gay costumes he has. Its funny how the american in the game looks gay.

I'll play you online sometime. I've yet to lose to someone who plays as Bass (and that's saying ALOT). He's just too slow for my tastes.

Tina is American too, and she doesn't look "gay".

I also had issues beating ti with brad. I only beat ti with 3 people so far, Brad being last. Boy was that a pain.

They did it with Ninja Gaiden and I guess the felt it was about time they pissed off casual gamers with DoA as well!

'Against the clock' drove me nuts cos' of the 2 rounds against the boss! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHHH!!!

In some ways it's good cos' it'll take longer to finish but sitting for 10 minutes against a single aponent gets very tedious, I do love the visuals but they get boring once you've seen the same section a thousand times in a row!!!

The Head Bongo and IN YO FACE grabs get tiring after a while. So does the food processor of death combo. I've unlocked most of the costumes and Alpha is getting really boring.

I actually find the person before Alpha to be more challenging. They counter everything, juggle, bounce, grab, etc. I felt like I was a basketball when I was against BASS. When I used him, he was as slow as molasses. When the PC uses him, I can't even throw an attack.

In Time Attack mode it can take 5 - 10 minutes on her alone. If I'm playing a character I'm not good with, it can take even longer.

I'll agree that rounds 6 and 7 can more difficult then Alpha a lot of the time. At least with Alpha you KNOW the attacks and techniques you're up against, and they're always going to be of the same difficulty. Rounds 6 and 7 are a total Gamble because the computer's techniques for a particular character vary greatly at the higher difficulties (not to mention they have many more movies and combo possibilities then alpha does).

Can't you buy them online? I know I've bought 3 costumes with the points I've earned for kicking ass. Really!
