I send my broken xbox 360 in on sunday through dhl and i got it back today! I sent in my 360 and powersupply and got back the same stuff plus a hard drive. I now have an extra hard drive and if anyone that has a core wants to buy it pm me.

I think some people are removing their HDDs before sending their systems in for an exchange and apparently they are getting the systems back with new HDDs attached.

I was told specifically to not include anything but the console. I even asked if I should include HDD and was told no. MS received it today so i'll see if I too get a free HDD. Can't say i'll be too happy with an extra hdd though. I've already got 2 40GB and 3 160GB hdd's laying around waiting to be used. (my PC is stuffed already and i've already got two external usb drives connected to it) I have no clue what use yet another hdd can serve. Perhaps ill buy a core after all the shortage bullshit then it'll be of some use. I'm hoping they fuck up like they did to one of the previous posters and give me a free xbox 360. I could use two.

What is happening to all your xbox 360's that they are broken? I haven't had an issue with mine yet. I was just wondering because I see so many posting about having to send it back. Is there something I'm missing? Please tell me what issues are people having. Now I'm worried because I don't have a warranty and I won mine off the pepsi every10minute contest

What all did they ask you for? Do you need a receipt to send it in?

Most people seem to be having overheating issues where their games will freeze constantly.

I haven't seen anyone mention my specific problem but I also havn't looked. My 360 wouldn't boot most the time and would have 3 of the 4 leds blinking red of the ring. If I turned it off/on 50 times or so it would eventually boot up. Rarely after getting it to boot while playing games or using MCE the screen would go blank and all I could do is turn it off and back on several times again to get it back on. It didn't seem to be related to heat considering the boot issue would happen EVERY TIME regardless how long it sat unused.



All they asked me as if I registered my 360 online. I said no and he asked my 360 serial then all my info like address/name/phone. Thats it.

I'm pretty sure that mine just overheated. I had been playing it since launch and it just crashed on christmas eve. I turned it back on and then got the 3 red leds of death. Well it all worked out for the best because now i have an extra hard drive for sale. pm me if you want to buy it. $100

3 people I know from other forums all got a free harddrive when they got their 360s back from MS, and they were told NOT to send the HDD in with the console. What? No "hey thats pretty nice of MS to do that"?

Noone likes to give them credit. Its much easier to say "well I shouldnt have had to send it in to begin with" right?

By the way, 1 of the 3 was a Core, and he still received a free hdd.

What they are probably doing is just sending you a premium without removing the hard drive first since they probably just dont care, hard drives dont cost much to produce anyway.

ms has really good customer service and stuff. they dont charge you any thing to fix it not even shipping and they give u a free hdd thats pretty good. i would rather have a second hdd then not have one cuz then just sell it and buy some games lol... ms is going to have lots of happy customers for all this. sonys tech support isnt/wont be as good
