Okay this may be somewhere, so please point me in the right direction if it is. But can you only communicate/talk online when playing a team game? Because I could hear people speratically earlier when I was playing team deathmatch but not when playing just regular deathmatch.

i think so, i have never heard anyone else on deathmatch either.
