Well, I have the late 1.5 chip, I flashed it with m8 bios and tried xecuter2 bios and set the switches to theright bank "though dunno that the 4th switch does." and attached everything the solderless way. But when i turn on the xbox. It acts like it's not even in there. Any answers for this and what is that cable for that connects from the dvd drive power to the chip for?

All these questions could be answered if you did a little reading.

The problem with your chip not functioning is probably due to a solderless install, the d0 point is likely not to be making good contact.

The extra power cable is to power the chip when installing in a 1.6 xbox.

Thing is that I checked all the points to see if they're all contacting the right spots and they are. But nothing happens.
