I have a tsop xbox and recently installed a new harddrive. A 200gb maxtor.

There were some strange issues installing it so i flashed new bios and used a different xbox to install everything.

Now all seems to be fine, only when i ftp in or want to use xbmc or dvd2xbox my f drive seems to be about 90gb, and in unleashX it shows the 189gb it's supposed to be.

Has anyone had this problem before?

What bios did you install?

It's not a issue is it? My ftp programs give me 0bytes in each drive, but it dosen't keep you from doing your thing, right?

Well from what ive read around here you should also have a G: drive where the extra space will go..There should be 137gb on F: and the rest on G: from what i gather..But i could be wrong...

Well, there are different configurations for a .06 or .67 bios. One has all additional space on F and one has the G drive take up the rest.

Do you have any idea what bios your friend is running?

When your hard drive is above 120 gig you need a bios that supports G drive, sometimes referred to as LBA48 mode.

Check your bios, and search for threads on 'enabling G partition' or LBA48 Mode and you should be fine.

LBA48 doesn't mean G drive. My 250G HD only has a F drive and works fine. G drive is really only required if you have a drive >250G due to the xbox only using 16K clusters. You would be fine using a .06 bios because your HD is not >250G and one large F drive would be fine.

The bios i installed is a xecuter 4983.06 , so it should be ok. I use unleashx as a dash and it shows 186gb (961mb left) in the storage menu under system but there's only 90 gig on there. dvd2xbox says 89gb used 961mb free. When i ftp into it i can only find about 90gb of data on it.
