??????????
I have a Xbox v1.1 with Samsung Drive...., and i want to buy a chip..., what are your recommendations....??
X-ecuter2 Pro, Matrix, Aladdin, ....

Other thing... , the pogo-pins adapter works well ???

Sorry ...., if my question are stupids or are posted alredy......., but i'm new int this world.

Any modchip will do, but the Xecuter 2 Pro is the only one you can flash without using the xbox itself to flash the chip.

The pogo pins are easy to install, but some people have complained that they come loose too easily, and make you take apart your xbox again, and re-align them. I personally wouldn't use pogo pins, since soldering is a better connection, and I can solder well.

yeah I would definatly say solder in your chip. As for the pro and the lite.. i would say lite...
you can set it up for 2 different bios selections and if you add switches they are MUCH easier to use than that damn external thing that comes with the pro.. my 2 cents go with the lite chip. At least those are the chips I've been installing all the time lately blink.gif

I have the same v1.1 and the same drive. I used a matrix mod, no real problems installing. Some have a hard time, I have done 3 with matrix and no problems, no soldering, just a little laquer removal, even used the original screw and it is rock solid. A little patience though, my only tip is "take your time" or you will be in for more problem then you no what to do with, no matterwhat chip you have. Matrix with Evox 1.8 3285 dash and EvoxD6 eject fix blue bios. Only my opinion but I am happy all good with no problems. Good Luck.

I've done 4 Matrix installs now on both 1.0 and 1.1 Xbox's and they have all been running for months with 100% functionality. It was probably the easiest modchip I've ever installed and I recommend it if you don't have the best soldering skills.

I don't get what JaredC01 said -

The Matrix comes with an external programmer that you hook up to your PC... maybe I'm reading it wrong. Regardless, he is right, any modchip will do. beerchug.gif

That's a real smart move. If your mod chip isn't flexible, future games will detect your old-fashioned "stiff" PCB and format all the Xbox drives. Seriously. You totally need a flexible chip.

Are they compatible with v1.2 Xbox's with the changes to the motherboard?

There's a pinned article HERE about 1.2 box mod installs. It's still new but it's been done. If you read the post you can use just about any chip on that box. You just have to locate the changes... read the post, you'll figure it out.

Did you read what I asked?

I didnt ask if you could modchip a v1.2 Xbox, I already know that is possible.

I just wondered if the X-elixis, which has a solderpoint for D0 on 1.0 and 1.1 X-boxes had been upgraded (different layout) to make it compatible for the D0 on the v1.2 motherboard which is in a different location.

it comes unflashed with no programmer
