I went to borders today and checked the mag section and there it was.
It comes with 2 discs
The first is the usual disc that comes with oxm and has a COD2 dem( like who hasn't played that)
And he other disc is an xbox 360 FFXI online exclusive beta disc

yea for xbox 360 the only demo is cod2 but it has 4 for original xbox

Is that how long it takes to install the demo, or do you only get 1 hour to play the beta online? I was confused what the 57 minutes means.

Ofcourse that magazine isn't published in Finland anymore due to low... demand. If i didn't misread news...

Alright finallly about 2 hours later I am finally playing

jesus.. initial install, update, create ID, update.... takes FOREVER and a half... hope this is fun.. been about 2 hours so far

all the menus are not true 1080... the have two bars on teh sides with blue graphics while the menu is in the little 4x3 box

the install was long on the ps2 as well sounds like that hasn't changed...

no one here in town has the mag yet... I can't wait for it.

so whats next after the intial FFXI install, i bet an update have 9 minutes left on install lol

wasnt aware that usb keyboards would work with 360.
does anyone know if maybe there will be a mouse that would work as well???
im alot better at fps games with keyboard and a mouse, and was wondering if m$ will make such option available.

its not a fps mate lol, but a mouse does help navigate the menu system better lol

Im a subscriber but was just at the grocery store and the had it so i picked up anyways(who knows when mine will come in the mail), im not patient! Probably wait till 2marrow to install after hearing 2 hour stories! See you guys on!

But the place that did have it was Walgreens, they had about 5 of them, and that was the LAST place I was going to look too, thank god =) Oh well, It's installing as I type this. This was at Temecula, CA if anyone else is interested =)

I read that the game doesn't support voice chat, but you can still use it since it uses xbox live or something. Any clarifications on this?

Did anyone else have any trouble during the install? Mine had about 20 min left and I recieved an unknown error occured and it quit. Have not tried it again since, disk itself looks ok. I have plenty of room on the HDD. Will try again tonight after work, I was just curious if anyone else had trouble.

they put this because they dont want the next evercrack (everquest for those who dont know the slang name) lol ive been playing this game for about a year on the PC version, that took about an hour and a bit to install, 7 discs to use for the installation lol and you complaininh about 2 hours if you have an old pc version like me (an old copy) you have about 6-7 hours of updating on top of that lol so think youselves lucky that the whole process takes just 2 hours for the 360 o yea wen the full game is released if any of you get dumped in asura (its one of the main servers) just send a friend request to Jwin (thats my pc character) and ill be happy to help

the server im on is called Hydra, and im sure everyone else is on it

anyway, framerate is a bit off, running rather choppy
graphics are aliased
textures and models look like the pc version, so nothing noticably new, sadly

yea we are all on the beta server for test purposes but when we get the full game i ment add me lol, im Jwin on the beta server aswell so send a playonline friend request if you wanna play
