I'm trying to swap cases and I took the front panel off my old case and I can't figure out how to take the circuit board thats lodged in there off safely..
The tutorials aren't telling me much except.. "to pull from the front" which doesn't look like a good idea as its bending the board. any help is very much appreciated.

The power/eject button? There's a clip on the bottom; push it down (get a small screwdriver), then pull the board by the bottom. It takes a bit of brute force, but it'll come out.
