I wanted to know if i flashed my bios to recognize a G drive would i need to backup the hdd. I wouldn't ask if it was just flashing but it is to recognize a new partition and figured it might need a format and then it might add the partition. I think i can just flash...

x2 5035(bios), Xenium ICE w/ v1.2-1.3(according to XBMC)
I have formatted just the G Drive Partition and Flashed with New LBA48 update but no changes except that G is recognized as size 0
I am reluctant to format whole HDD. so if there is nother way please enlighten me
