i mite add a usb connection 4 a friend and i was wondering if i need linux to use a usb gamepad(controler), i kno it is needed to use a keyboard/mouse n stuff but is it need to use a usb controller

It depends want you mean when you say 'usb gamepad'. If you mean cut the end off of a xbox controller and solder a male usb end onto it then yes it will work, but if you mean a gamepad for a computer, then no.(at least I dont think anyone has ported any usb computer gamepads to xbox).
