I have to say that probably took more time/deaths then any other game I have ever played ( normally I don't care to play it on the hardest level ) man what a relief!! No more cussing out my tv for a while lol Now its time to beat PD0 although I don't think I am going to do it on the hardest level.

I can say that Cod2 single player on Veteran is fully worth the cost of the 360 and all its accessories.
I can also vouch that Veteran gets much easier once youv ebeen through each level a couple time.

Beating that game on veteran 1.5 times (first 360 broke and had to get new HDD) was quite a challenge. Saddle up and welcome to the club.

Yes "relief" I think is the correct word. Unfortunatley, I am not finding PD0 as much fun.

Nice...I have about a stage or two left...I am stuck trying to raid this one house...I think there are unlimited enemies in there...I kill so many yet they keep appearing...the house could only hold so many people right?

well i know that a lot of the game forces you to move in or they will continue to re-enforce with soldiers, so maybe that is whats happening.

Yeah, some games do that, but I don't think CoD2 does. I could be wrong though. I just remember that when I killed everyone I could run around everywhere and be safe.

I commend you guys. I'm almost finished with the game on hardened and I don't think I'd subject myself to the torture of a veteran attempt.
Here's hoping that the lag patch comes out soon.

i know for a fact it does do this a lot in the game. if you were to just kill and never advance they will continue to be "resupplied" with troops. the perfect example is the demo level, when you first get off the truck, try killing all the troops when your facing the same way as the truck, they will keep on coming.

i thought the same thing playing through hardened, however you begin to get accustomed to the challenge and even though it may take 3 times the time to beat a level, the feeling of accomplishment is also that much more.

Good deal man... and good luck... I was gonna say for your question above about how many people could they have in the house... I was going to say they were sending in new troops through the backdoor...

I think that could have been the case...I tried a diffrent route and found about 15 guys on the side of the house. I took my time with the outside of the house...sniped as many as possible inside...then went buck wild on the bottom floor with a machine gun...chucked a few grenades upstairs and as they exploded stormed the second floor...I was very proud of myself as my back up did nothing

Danger...I just tried to load my save on the Caen mission 'Tiger' on Veteran and the load freezes the console...
What I need to know is can I play that mission by selecting it and finish the game to get my achievements or do I have to start over? Thanks.

Ya I'm still working on veteran difficulty when I get time to play. If you want to get a quick 60 gamerscore points, play the tank mission on veteran. Its gravy..... just keep driving and shooting, you can play both levels without dieing, prolly takes 10 minutes tops...hahaha, then back to the real challenges(crossing the rhine just making it up to the first checkpoint is a bitch)

Just have the last level now...the bunker was not so hard...I found out that (cant believe I did not know this before) if you point your gun in the general direction of an enemy it 'sticks' to them...so pull the trigger and they go down...who would have known...every time before I aimed manually...

In 'Options' there's a setting for auto-aim when you look down your sight. It comes in handy when attacking large groups since you can just pull the left trigger and fire. Doing it rapidly allows you to take a lot of guys out.

I think it may be a default setting...I just did not notice it until Hill 400 on Vet...go figure.
