I have a 1.1 xbox and have tried many things to get the Matrix installed.

1. No good connection to D0. Tried sodering D0 to the Matrix and was unsuccessful. Was also unsuccessful using the alternate D0.

2. Tried grounding Alt D0 and no luck.

I am suspecting I lifted D0 but under a magnifing glass it looks fine.

Are there any other ways to check if I will ever be able to get a good connection to D0 or the Alt D0.

I am wondering if you can use a voltmeter with one lead on the D0 or alt D0 and another lead to another point and then read the resistance or voltage (with power on) ..

Again just want to know any other way to check the D0???

yea, just connect the d0 to your matrix but dont connect anything else, if it frags you're good if not then you're not

Yeah, also to check if you made a good connectoin, you can just use a circuit tester... Like the battery with 2 wires comin out and put a light on the end. I built my own. Just take 2 batteries, a led light and a resistor running into a single wire, then the other side I use a clamp... Just clamp it to the metal frame of the xbox and touch the wire to the point you are testing, the led will light up if it's a good connection. Thta's how I usually test the connection, a multimeter will test the current

Thanks for the info.. I will see when I can try testing the lead. But I guess I was really just wanting to know what can be done with just a mutimeter..
