So, my febuary issue of OXM came in the mail...and as soon as i saw FFXI, i poopled my pants. I ran upstairs to go play it...i dont have a hard drive yet, because theyre sold out in all of the stores in my area...so i cant play it. You need to install some play online viewer crap, and it can only be installed to the HDD....heres just one more reason to go HDD hunting...

Indeed. But even more shocking is that the beta takes up a whopping 1/3 of your HD space, its got about a 5G footprint.
Not to mention how much time you have to take just for the install and patches.

but isn't all hardrives11 gigs. When I got my 360 from day one, it said off the bat my hardrive has 11 gigs, so the beta version of final fantasy will take up half the space.

You can delete all the gay music and videos that came preinstalled clearing up another gig or 2, leaving you 13 I believe. I know I deleted the videos immedatiely and those were atleast a gig combined.

Me and my friend were playing billiards and we didnt like the fag music playing the background so I had to change the songand my Xbox 360 isnt connected to my router so I couldnt use Windows Media Connect. (still waiting for wireless adapter) Every song on the hard drive is a crap rock song and the only good videos that were on was the impossible field and the Titanic in HD.

its not a demo. its the full game so the retail version will be the same size. this is just the beta so its under testing. the only reason that it would get bigger is if they add things through updates.

I think that when you buy a 360 HDD and it states that it is 20GB it should give you 20GB of storage space. i.e. a drive described as 20GB should, in reality, hold 27GB in order to allow for the 7GB used for system and Xbox cache.
So really the HDD that we have at the moment I think should be described as 13GB. It is a bit deceiving.

Nope, the playonline stuff has to stay there, so thats what takes up the some of the space, but otherwise the game will play off the disc

It's really not deceiving at all. They advertised a 20gb hdd and you got a 20gb hdd. If they advertised a 20gb hdd and you got a 27 gb hdd THAT would be deceiving. Think before you speak.
