Fuck and the main dash doesn't come up so what do I do now? I can still play games, but I cannot log onto XBL I can only play the games.

Do you get an error code (number) in the upper left corner of the customer service screen?

Which exploit package did you use? Hopefully one that forced you to backup your eeprom.

Okay well I did that backup and then installed the softmod but it didn't do it all the way, it went to about 70% then stopped so I did it again same thing. So I would restore MS then try again. Also Im not getting an error number its just the screen.

What would that do, would that bring back my dash? The original one? If so send me a link to were I can get those exploits because I think the ones I got were a total waste.

As far as what you should do, I would say reinstall the exploit. Pretend the softmod install finishes, I think it just looks like it doesn't install a dash from the menu and then report back here... and stop whining so much. You haven't even told us what installer you used.

beastiekid could have put it a little better but those are the rules. holyjewsus is right about needing to calm down. there are so many helpful people here. the rules are there to keep ms away. if they allowed this i am sure ms would have sued and shut down this site a long time ago. ok here is a tip for you next time. first put in a title so people can know what your asking. also put in as much info in the first post.

the fix is actually pretty simple. Just load the installer menu. make a ftp connection. Get some original dash files from slayers 2.6 and use that to restore your system. And then remod your xbox with a non crappy package. This has been covered thousands of times and a little searching on the boards would have gotten you in the right direction.
If you want help you might want to drop your attitude and respect the rules. They are here for a reason not to annoy nitwits like yourself.

They decided against that years ago. However, for those who read a bit, check a tutorial to two, and post in Newbie Chat with a bit of patience and willingness to learn have been able to find all their answers time and time again.

If you had simply read the rules, noted that no file requests are allowed via direct or indirect links, and just asked "So, how do you find all this stuff?" you'd have been swiftly given a tutorial for using xbins.

And only post if you have somthing useful to say.

i had this problem, i got an error 21, and i couldnt load the original dash. I just uninstalled the softmod, and re-installed it.

You clearly don't belong modding your xbox, let alone come on here demanding help and blasting the mods/owners of this wonderful forum/site for not catering to YOUR needs. They do more than enough here to provide stickies for everything you could possibly need. If you have an error code, try SEARCHING and reading stickies. Be humble and wise, and when seeking help, try NOT shooting yourself in the foot.



Well, its his fault he screwed it up, and it was a risk he was willing to take by trying to mod his xbox.
