). ok, here's the description of what's going on. I made a cd with evo m8+ on it, so i could update my chip to work on a v1.6b xbox. I found a xbox v1.1 for cheap. I installed the chip in, made something to push on it and hold it down, and it turns on. no problem yet. now i put the disc in, and it sees it. it gives me the cd label, then freezes. i've waited 2 hours in hopes it would be updating. i gave up and rebooted. it rebooted 3 times by itself, then gave me a blank screen. it did this a few times. i pushed a bit on the chip, and turned it on again. this time it loaded the original menu. I know the file is called bios.bin, i checked to make sure it wasn't bios.bin.bin . when i made the cd though, i didn't put it in mode 1. could that be the problem? please email me at: daisuke(dot)16(at)hotmail(dot)com if possible.
