Hello everyone,
I dont know what modchip i have , i jsut know that i have a samsung dvd drive in my xbox.
Well,
I turn on my ebox by the "off" button and see this picture:

semeone know what software is on my xbox?
but there is no evolution x dashboard, i jsut see the original xbox dashboard.

i just want know if i need isntall an updated evox software to access ftp pc/xbox( to transfer files) and if have emulators to i burn a dvd with some roms.

Well, really it depends on your mod chip. Open your xbox and take a pic of the modchip and Then I can probably tell you what chip you have.

you have an Evox bios. did someone do it for you?

I cant open it , if i open i lost the guarantee.
And i bought the xbox with already isntalled.

Im trying to contact the "shop" owner.

What guarantee is that? You mean warranty, well if it's been modified the MS one has already been tossed out the window. No need to open it if you just want the upgraded dashboards. You're running a hacked bios, that's all you need to know. If it works, why monkey around with the inside.

If you see the Evox logo on the top left when you boot, then just grab a Slayer's installer disk and put the EvolutionX, UnleashX or Avalaunch dashboard on. Then you will get the FTP access you want. Hope you din't pay alot for a half done job. The installer should have atleast put EvolutionX on it... I realize some places don't like to do that because it's using illegal code based on the MS XDK, but they flashed the chip... might as well finish the job.

The only way to find out what chip you have you have (if any) is to OPEN THE XBOX.

That evox thing you see is a BIOS.
