Just curious if anyone has tried to use some tools like these ones:

these could for example allow us to sniff the SATA bus traffic of a valid game disk and then devise an emulated drive with possibility to inject/replace arbitrary things into data flow?

Should be worth of exploring I think. Does anyone know any cheaper tools to accoplish this that those i mentioned above?

Also — newest dash reflashing your drive. Is there a possible to create freeboot homebrew which will reflash drive to iX?
