EDIT: Was not impressed by this game in any way... then I played classic mode, now that is cool! Definitley not worth purchasing though

Ok, I got to like wave 43 before I was dead. But the person right now in first place was on wave 22? How is that possible? I only got like 2 million points

Ok, nm. I assume they are collecting the big crystals. I been shooting them lol

Yea it seems the secret to high scores is to make sure you get all the mega crystals and or wait around for more to spawn.



Also if anyones having trouble getting the speed freak achievement, your bombs cause a slight gravitational pull towards you and this can be used to grab a clump of crystals faster.

For the speed freak achievement, goto options and change the control to fastest, cake after that

I'm such an idiot. I must've accidentally chosen the full version instead of the trial to download last night. When I unlocked my first achievement, I was like Wow, since when do trials let you unlock achievements? Then I looked a little harder and realized I had purchased the game.

Now we're mimmicking games so early? Geo Wars, Mutant Storm and now this. I know that this game (the original, at least) is older than the other two, but come on... Can we get some variety here? No multiplayer. At least Geo Wars and MSR are addicting, and MSR has awesome power-ups on top of it. This game is very boring.

I really wish I'd been more observant last night. Damn, what a waste of money.

BTW, I didn't have a problem getting Speed Freak on default settings. I got it on the second try. It may have had to do with where the crystals were on that first level for me, but I thought it was rather easy getting Speed Freak.

If older games or 'upgrades' if you want to call them would
cost like 200, I'd get more of them.
But at 400 (or $5) for one game, I dont feel they are worth it.

I think SF2 might be 800 MS points. I'm definitely not getting that one because I still have the original SNES cartridge, and it gets used about once a year. lol

The amount of money Capcom has made off of SF2 alone should warrant it being free... But, since everyone has to milk their IP and they are adding in special features, I'll pay 400 MS points for SF2. Not 800 though. Not a chance.

As for the rest of the games, I think the MOST a game should cost is $10. Marble Blast is a perfect example. Fun, graphically enhanced, and fairly simplistic. These remakes should be 200 MS Points unless they have upgrades to the graphics. I would pay 400 points for Crystal Quest if I didn't already have Geo Wars. $5 isn't bad, but it should be par for the course.

It's a good thing Billiards was free with my Live account or else I would never have entertained $15 for that game. Or any game that follows it. $15 is too much.

The game blows ass! It's really that simple. This game probably came out before G Wars but at least G Wars got it right! Count me out, you guys can enjoy.

And as far as prices going up that is really in our control all it takes is a couple of "nice, smart people" to download the game and pay whatever MS is asking for. When they see we are not going to just do what they want us to do ie buy this game for 20 bucks maybe prices will go down.

Side not: it's really funny, well not really funny but sad to see some people type the word "like" when they are posting as if they are speaking., they will most likely be the 1st to purchase arcade games for "like" 30 dollars or "like" something.

I have it to, somewhere in some box in my attic, however, no one wants to play it with me so it being on live will be cool. I will always have someone to play against.

I went ahead and bought it.. it is not bad and easier for the kids to play then geometry wars.

You're not kidding. This game is too easy. This game has got to be the easiest to get all the achievements for. I mean, it's got to be the easiest of all retail and LA games. I only have two left to get, but the only one I see presenting a little challenge is Apocalypse. Before I attempted it, I thought it would take forever to get the 10 million point achievement. It's not hard at all. Now I'm #13 in the world with 110 million points.

If anyone's curious, I'll tell you how get such massive scores. Otherwise, we'll just let this thread die...
