i have a problem out of the blue. i never have been able to get MSdash to load thru evox--it would always just reboot to evox main screen. but i was able to get to MSdash thru xbmp 2.3. now for some reason i can not get it to work. when i click it it reboots to evox. it sucks because i can no longer mess with date/time info, or audio/video settings, which i need to be able to do.

i am using x2 chip
evolutionx_v1_8_3682...recently upgraded from: EvolutionX_beta_V1.8.3285

make sure your chip is off ,and the msdash is named xboxdash, and just boot it that way.

then i gotta keep my box opened.
any other ways it can be done?

too easy, you need to edit your xbox media players config.xml (open it in wordpad, not notepad)
look for this line:

<dashboard>evoXdash.xbe</dashboard>
<shutdowntime>0</shutdowntime>
<sensitivity>0.2</sensitivity>
<xnsbuffer>8192</xnsbuffer>


as you see, mine is edited to closeout to the evoxdash, change the name to suit your MS dashboard whatever it is called on your c drive (msxboxdash.xbe or xboxdash.xbe) or whatever it is actually called.
