I've got the iso for my game but i don't wanna burn it, i just wanna load it onto my hd and play from there. I have UnleashX for a dash. i'm sure i can't just ftp the iso into a game folder and play it. can someone please tell me what i need to do next??

Actually, you can... What FTP client are you using? I'm not so sure about UnleashX dash, but when I had my X3, I used Avalaunch... Shouldn't be that much different; just select the ISO image and transfer to your xbox HD, and you should be set, just like any other file you would transfer

just on the safe side i would extract the ISO before transfering. I could be wrong but i don't think you
can play an ISO, I think you need to play default.xbe.

Saw this quote in a post but don't fully understand it....

Why not just use the same process you used to create the ISO on your PC from the Xbox, but in reverse? Most utilities have this feature. What program did you use to make the ISO?

Unless you have one of those mysterious ISOs that occasionaly appear on your PC from nowhere.

FTP sends data 1 and 0 (binary)

extract the ISO on your PC then FTP the files onto your xbox. You'll be fine.

WOW... That was just too easy. I didnt really expect you to respond by admitting to it. You really should read the rules before posting. LOL.

So you downloaded the game then you made it into an iso. You shouldnt have made the iso, extract all the files off the iso and send them through flash fxp to your game folder in your xbox's hdd then you should be set. If your dash hasnt found the game then try running the xbe sometimes that happens.

I remember having to select the individual default.xbe file to play the game; I don't remember if I actually used an ISO image at all(it's been a long while since I actually used a modded xbox), but like these guys are saying, just extract it all to one folder, make sure you know where default.xbe is, and when you transfer to your xbox hard drive, select default.xbe to play the game(in Avalaunch, it would actually have a section for games, and the game would be there, and you could select the name of the game instead of looking for the .xbe file... not sure if UnleashX has that or not)

Enough already. You somehow managed to get an ISO from your XBox to your PC but cannot figure out how to FTP it back or even make it playable from the XBox HDD? Sounds fishy enough for me.

NO i did NOT get the game from my xbox. i have never copied a game from my xbox. i just "came across" a game and wish to load and play it. if it is really gonna be this big of a headache i mise well go learn how to burn it, i guess
