Ok, i was wondering if a TSOP is comparible to a modchip when it comes to fixing an xbox. I know it would be dependent on the issue, but in general.

depends on what your problem is. If you cant boot to the m$ dash, you cant do a tsop. You need to have your xbox in a working condition to do a tsop unless you chip the tsop.
What problem are you having?

actually as long as you can boot a game you can fix the problem(depending on what it is) without a tsop flash. and you can flash the tsop.

it really depends on the problem, some can be fixed easily without TSOPing or chipping, even if you cant boot a game it might still be fixable without a chip
so whats wrong with the xbox?

Basically it won't boot to the dash. Comes up with the error 21. I'm not too sure what happened to the box. It won't read anything coldbooting either. I guess i'll have to get a chip for it. I misunderstood what exactly a tsop was i guess. Thanks for all your help guys.
