Was reading through the forum and seen a post that said you only need to port forward if Xlink Kai is closing itself. I am not having that problem. For some reason Kai cannot find my xbox. I tried using XBC as well but it freezes when looking for my xbox. I have everything set up through a router and have almost zero experiance networking. I can FTP no problem if it helps. Thanks in advance.

Ok, I just had that problem, you need to make sure that you're firewall let's Xlink Kai go through port 3074 and that it's UDP. Then go to your config and in the Kai Port box, put in 3074, it should work now.

Done the port forwarding and I can now detect my xbox. The network reachable = Yes.
When I join a arena, I can not see the system link game on the xbox. Should I be able to see my own profile on the left side in the arena mode?

so does kai see your xbox ? .. click the magnifying glass at the top and then click the little folder underneath the "?" ..

try this .. close kai .. open the kai config .. select your network card instead of autodectect and make sure Deep Port has a 0, not blank .. Kai Port should be the number you using to forward ..

is it port 3074 or port 30000 or both ??

you only need to forward one port .. 30000 UDP to the IP of your computer ..

So how do I Port Forward? I think Im having this same problem because everytime I host a game, people will try to join and then they will just get kicked as if the room is not there. So if you can school me on Port Forwarding, thanks.

go here and look up your router ..

http://www.portforward.com/english/routers...routerindex.htm

follow the guide .. you than have to add whatever port you forward to the kai config under kai port .
