I've been crawling the net trying to get an answer for this.

I have a 360 and got the OXM dual-boot demo disk for the Feb issue. The demo for Black only plays on the XB0. I have tried hotswapping out Halo 2 and tried booting the 360 with different buttons pressed (a la Windows/DOS) but I can't find a way to run the emulator on it's own.

If you put an XB0 disk in the drive, it boots the emulator and runs the disk. If you eject the disk, it kills the emulator.

If you put the dual-boot disk in the 360, it boots it from the dashboard. Running in 360 mode, the XB0 games do not show up or play, though you should be able to play them in the emulator.

So, is there a way to either 1) hotswap a dual-boot disk so that it runs in the emulator, or 2) boot the emulator so that it only reads the XB0 version on the disk, therefore unlocking the demos?

I figure the 360's programmers would have left a boot shortcut or back door to running the emulator, for diagnostic or testing purposes at the least.

Anybody know?

Try taking the top off and hot swapping the disk.

Thanks, I'll try that. I'm still hoping for a shortcut to the emulator using buttons/restart. Would be easier......

I don't think there is BC support for demos anyway.
