hey all. first and foremost, xbmc is the greatest thing ever.

the smb problems i was having was fixed in the latest few builds (thanks!) but I can't seem to get the itunes daap share to work correctly. I've got it set up in the .xml as the instructions state and I can see the playlists when I navigate to it in xbmc. i can even drill down into the directories and see the individual mp3s. however, when I select one to play my xbox just hangs and i have to do a hard reboot to play it. obviously i've got iTunes set up to share to users in the network (no password required).

any ideas? I'm using the 2-20-2006 build

thanks! biggrin.gif

I to have been having this problem with daap for the last 6 or 7 builds.

you sure it hangs? daap takes forever to start to play a file.

pretty sure it does. it takes a little longer to be able to start browsing the files than the SMB share does, and when I select a song to play it'll just sit there. i've left it alone for a few minutes and still nothing. I can't even reset the xbox with the controller, i have to manually turn it off then back on. blink.gif

also, I'm using the newest version of itunes (6.0.3)

a log file might help.

that's what I get too. And when I shut iTunes down it tells me that a user's still connected even if the xbox is turned off. unsure.gif i only have 1 computer and my xbox on the network.
