i followed the tut on xbs and when i type in #xbins in mirc it just brings me to a talk screen with no one else on it, whats wrong?

I know this might sound kind of silly but did you check behind that talk screen. I had this same problem and all it turned out to be was that another screen popped up directly behind so I couldn't see it. Try minimizing it.
