Full Version: Trying To Copy Files With Ftp
i'm trying to copy some files over with ftp and i get a "file name to large" error plus when i try to unrar a file onto the xbox on the file manager i also get an error...?
What files are these?
The best way with games is to use DVD2XBOX to copy the original disc straight to the Xbox. It sorts out long filenames etc

its any files really things like mp3s and roms
re-name the files to fit the character limit for music

character limit for music? but what about other files.. i have a lot of trouble copying files over ftp

If you mean games... just stick the original game into your xbox and use DVD2XBOX to transfer them to your hard drive. That program will autmoatically patch and/or rename any necessary files during the transfer process.

You can rename or right click, "use transfer as" retype name smaller.

but if i wanna put 5000+ mp3 on i cant rename them all
