good grief my cox is either dying or its just a slow dl overall. all my other marketplace Downloads fly. I got the entire pgr 3 demo faster than Im getting this trailer!

Update: its the one that was posted on the net, and I was on the fence about this game until now. I totally want it after seeing it in HD on the big screen. Cant wait to cover zombie heads with cones and buckets and let them walk around aimlessly

if dead rising has you hyped, you should relaly check out The warriors on xbox. if you havnt played it it should tithe you over. its got some grade A skull cracks in it

My roomate rented Warriors, looks pretty fun, but it's almost TOO violent for my liking. I don't like the gratuitous sound effects of human flesh smashing against the pavement, it's seriously too much. Plus I hate the style of the generation the movie/game is set in, so that makes it hard for me to like it in the first place (not to mention my loathesome contempt for the GTA graphics engine). It's not necessarily the violence that excites me about Dead Rising, just the crisp graphics, the amount of zombies on screen, and the amount of stuff you can do in the environment. Not to mention the potentially monumental and/or comical boss battles.

really give the game a try, it looks amazing (in 720p if your xbox/tv supports it) the 5.1 with subwoofer, you feel every bottle/brick that get smashed accross a face. yes its violent, and yes i enjoyed it.

My thoughts exactly. Going on a murderous rampage killing the living is fun (e.g., GTA games, Manhunt, Punisher, etc.); protecting the city by killing zombies doesn't sound so fun. The game uses the environment impressively to kill the zombies, and the violence is great, but the whole zombie mess just seems like it'll be a snooze-fest.

drinking again.... the simplicity of the violonce might make this a party goer game for me, i might buy seeing as every time i pop it in, it doesnt matter where in the story i am, i can brutally slay some zombies.

I gotta say, the trailer looked really entertaining. Some of the best video game blood I've ever seen. The animation looked good, physics looked nice, character count was insane. I doubt it has much replay value though. A demo would really help me decide wether to rent or buy.

I was thinking the same thing wastching the trailer. It looked cool at first but I think the fun will wear out quickly.

I got bored watching the trailer. Really, how fun can it be killing zombies with different types of bladed weapons? And from the looks of it, they're not even quick or that aggresive. They're just wandering aimlessly around.

For years I've wanted to play an open zombie game. Well here it is! Only downside seems to be that it has a comical slant and the zombies are extra slow and stupid. I'm glad that the character count is high, but they need to let you adjust it so that the zombies are faster.

Besides the fact that it looks repetative, notice that the body parts dissappear VERY quickly once they hit the floor. You'd think the the point where we are at with our360's, they would leave ALL the body parts on the floor... that would be a awesome bloody mess....
A nightmare for the janitor that would come in to 'tidy up' before the mall opens the next day.
