Hello!


I am trying to get my WMCE pc to 'see' my 360. It always says that it is not detected. I am currently running both my WMCE PC and my 360 through a Linsys 5 port Switch. They each access Live and the internet without trouble. Each device has it's own IP address. (and according to my ISP, I have access to 3 more) I have tried pinging the xbox from my WMCE PC and there is no reply.

I have tried turning both systems off, unplugging the switch and modem. Plugging the modem back in then the switch, then each device. They both end up with the same IP again and although both still connect to to Live and the Internet, I can't get WMCE to detect the 360.

Should I go pickup a router and see if that helps? My understanding is that a switch should work fine.

I am not sure if it will work with the switch. You might need a router. But, did you download the software from xbox.com? I know when I set mine computer up with my 360 it told me to download some installer package.

Also make sure you have Media Center 2005.

I have the same problem. It used to work fine, but now the 360 and the pc just can't find each other. When I switch over to regular XP and just use media connect it works fine though
