quick question, need some feedback from someone else who has a 160gb hardrive. please post on how many games on average a 160gb hardrive should hold. Or if theres another thread about this (hardrives and capacity of games on each sizes) please link me to it.

Games on average are 2-3gb.
Halo is 4.7gb
morrowing is 800mb

You need about 6gb for the xbox stuff. And 160gb HDD's are never 160gb
Manufacturers use 1000kb = 1 mb when in reality 1024kb = 1 mb

It depends on what size games you have--games range in size from 300MB (for old old game re-releases) to more than 5 gigs. This is just a guess, but on my 200GB HD I figure I can hold around 40 games. So maybe around 35 for a 160GB?

I don't know how a game with such a big map (morrowind) can only use 750ish mb?? oh, btw. games range lower than 300mb. World Championship poker is only 150mb. Also, I've got a 200gb (epsilon72), and mine currently has 35 games an about 5bg of music and still has 120gb left

well if you consider it like this

160gb is actually 155gb

155 hdd size
- .500mb for C:
- 4.8gb for E
= 149

average game size is 2.5

so,

149 / 2.5 = 59.6 games.

so you can safely bet on 50 some games.

i am currently holding 16 games in 40 gb of space

wich oddly devides into exactly 2.5 average storage per game...
