At least download it (it's not that big) and form your own opinions. Blowing stuff up is fun and I'm going to give it the same chance I give every game and demo. I hate WW2 games, but I'll still give this one a go and decide for myself. Thanks for the opinion though, VariableElite.

Can you invite a friend into a match or are you stuck with whatever jerkoff they match you with?

Just booted it again, and as far as I can tell you're pretty limited. You can do a quick match, selecting 1on1, Teams of 2, and Teams of 3. Or you can do a custom match, which lists the available games, who made them, and how many players there are.

I suppose you can host a game and tell your friend to look for your name in the list...


By the way, my first impressions were based on me knowing that my boss was on his way to drop something off in about 10 minutes, and having just that amount of time to get started and play a round. Hopefully the retail game will have better online capabilities, but as it stands it's not a good reflection of how I feel the final game will play. Unless something drastically changes, or IGN and GameSpot both give it 2/10, I'm still picking it up.

I think its crap. the gfx are barely passable. laggy as hell online... and just not fun in my opinion, would have liked some singleplayer...

yeah I got the pgr 3 demo thats 1.3 gigs faster than I got this.

cant really judge it, too friggin laggy right now to play. wish they had a campaign avail to try out.

first impressions tell me this isnt worth the wait of downloading..

Ive had my download on for a long time now and it gets 1% higher every like 1 hour, its taking forever.

Try cancelling the download and starting it over. It will resume and probably move alot faster.

Mine is moving along just fine considering im on a 384kbps dsl line...

Cant wait to try it out! Would have loved it if we got graw instead of this though...

You're being much too harsh on this game, it's actually pretty harmless fun. I'm not sure if I'm tempted to get the full version, though.

I'm tipping my hat off to the developers for putting in the gamma settings in display settings. It's the first time I can make the notoriously too bright VGA cable to look good. In fact, it looks pretty awesome.

despite all the negativity in the thread i'm still going to download it when i get home and try it out

yeah.. i agree, its not bad when you get in a lag free map... i wouldnt buy it.. but its cool to play something different on my 360 for a change

Downloads are probably so slow because everyone's hitting the servers at the same time.


Just played a 3 on 3 game, and have to say it was a lot of fun. Some of the problems I have with the multiplayer will be solved once I get a better handle on the game, which the single-player campaign will allow.

One of the guys on my team was an EGM Español staff member, I believe.

Just finished my 3rd 1on1 game. This is A LOT of fun guys!!!! And i mean A LOT. Plus it looks great. Models are very detailed and the frame rate seems very very stable.

Really strategic gameplay as well!!!

I cant play this on my hdtv. Game cannot be started at 50 hz change it to 60hz it says.. can only choose between 720p or 1080i.. anyone a suggestion?

I checked it out. The first game I played, I absolutely hated it, but it got a little better after a couple more times. I'm just glad I got to play it before I ran out and bought it. I'm still very undecided on whether it's worth my money.

Yeah, this is utterly stupid .. MS seems to be having problems with their cables, VGA image is washed out and incompatible with many BC titles and this game refuses to load unless the console is set to PAL-60. The best thing about it is that the blades give you bloody wrong info how to fix the problem.

With VGA backwards compatibility issues the blades tell you to lower the resolution, which doesn't help - only switching to component cable solves the problem. With this game you are told to go to display settings and choose options that aren't there if your cable is set to different mode. It's a classic 'keyboard not present, press F1 to continue' -situation that will leave most users scratching their heads. It's just very incompetent from MS for not testing their own instructions and leaving these kinds of flaws to the dash and refusing to fix them no matter how many times these problems are brought to their attention.

Rant's off, here's how to fix it: if you're using VGA cable, switch to component. You need to use the switch on the component cable to access the PAL modes, change it to PAL-60 and then change the cable back to HDTV modes (and optionally replug the VGA).

thought it was fun, but definately wont be running out and buying it. what determines the winner, because just playing split screen it seemed to end randomly with a random winner. did anybody else use the wheelbarrow as a vehicle? i jumped in and one of my guys just pushed me around

I think the more points you control, the faster the other team's score drops. IIRC, it was at the top center of the screen.

I don't know about you guys negativeness but this game is so good and I really like it. Such a fun multiplayer game. I don't know why but this game reminds me of the Army Men sarges heroes series which I liked.

Downloading it right now, dont know why u guys think the downloads are going slow, i got to 50% in 6 minutes and right now its on 75%..............Ill edit it once i play my first game.

1 Edit- 6 minutes later it gone done. only took 15 minutes. Not that bad ill edit when i play.

Not worth a purchase I don't think, but pretty cool.

I played it and it seemed ok to me, not a total pile I think. The grenade throwing is horrific though, the grenades go like 2 feet and they're in slo-mo! 'nades are pointless in this game. Matter of fact everything seems a little slow, but that might add to the tactical feel. I've only played one game though, it's gonna take a few more games to form a concrete opinion.
Edit* Halo 2 has the best 'nade throwing... maybe I'm spoiled.

I think the hit system is off some... dead aiming at someone's head no kill shot to the torso and it's like a head shot... the rockets do show the drop of a ballistic projectile but the guns don't seem to do the same... i should be able to aim above an enemy's head a few hundred yards away and at least hit his body... nooo i aim at his head i miss.. aim at his body he drops one shot... wtf... i'm hoping this is just because it's a demo and they get it fixed...

The game is quite arcade-y. I dont believe it has locational damage or anything...And weapon physics are quite lame as well... But airstrikes rule!!! And it IS a lot of Fun (Flamethrowers ftw!!!!)

Airstrikes are the lamest feature in the game. Surely they can be fun in single player mode, but in MP it kills the tactical aspect of defending and taking cover if some five-year-old can just kill your team with one press of button.

Too easy, meh.

Just create custom game and start it with no credits... that way they have to earn the credits to call it in....

I wasn't feeling this demo, but I'll give it a few more plays before I pass final judgement. I really don't like the fact that they just throw you in a MP game with no background story or no idea how to play the game or what the hell to do. They should have enabled the first level of the single player campaign so we can get a feel for everything.

Game has a lot of control/collision/cheesyness issues, but its a fun game, I like it

The Outfit really reminds me of Conker: Live and Reloaded... I mean you scramble about trying to do something and kill or be killed... hit system is iffy... but all in all it's a game you can have fun with...

the first time i tried the game, i laughed and thought it was a stupid game that looked like butt. however after trying it a few more times and actually paying attention to everything going on im pretty impressed. granted that the 360 can do far better, when all is said and done you can see where they used the resources of the 360.

the play machanics are rather simple but add a good deal of gameplay and variety to the game. although lag was an issue here and there, for having so many characters (human and AI) running around blowing the scene to hell its impressive that they dont have more lag issues. although the graphics could be better, once i realized that they were going for more of a colorful, cartoony look i saw how good the game did look for a launch title (which i still consider this to be).

all in all, i wouldnt buy this game for the main reason that there are WAY too many other games coming out that deserve my attention. however i wouldnt write this game off for those wanting some good ol' explosive action.
