Ok I believe that I might just get flamed for this, but I wanted to let everyone know what I have found out so far.
I purchased the new Deep Throat HD DVD, and it has both the standard DVD video and the new HD WMV HD files.
The Xbox 360 does not play the HD files only the standard DVD files, unless I am doing something wrong.
So if you need this "killer app" I believe you will have to invest in Windows XP Media Center to get it working.
I do not have XP Media Center so I can not answer anything beyond standard XP and the disc itself.

The 360's drive can ONLY read standard DVD's and if im right (correct if wrong) isnt that a HD-DVD?? and that uses Blue laser technology to read that layer. its just split into 2 layers standard layer and HD layer

Actually, there has been alot of "knockoff" HD-DVD stuff coming out lately. If you notice, the deep throat DVD refers to itself as a "High-Def DVD" which is very different than HD-DVD. There are two ways to play these discs... In your PC or on a High-Def DVD player, which is just a dvd player than can decode WMV HD files. The Deep Throat DVD is decieving though, because it was advertised for the 360, but in reality you need a media center PC as well.

Lowendfrequency is 100% correct, it is not a HD-DVD or a Blu-Ray disc. It is a standard DVD that also happens to have the movie duplicated on it as WMVHD files, just like the DVD for Terminator 2 The Extreme DVD Edition.

From what ive heard (this is all rumors though) there will eventually be an upgrade for the 360 so that it supports HD WMV playback of a DVD Disk...(i understand that it already supports it on videos downloaded from the marketplace...).

for example me a person thats a rite a person goes into any store buys that deep throat hi def dvd/and a 360 premium package(i already own a 360 but i store all the porn i could ever need on my first gen xbox's big hd) intending to watch it on a 360 in hi def on my 720p lcd samsung tv.just having the generic brand laptop,without media center pc installed means i cant watch this disc?what the fuck?too bad i didnt know more about the legal system as i would say for falsely advertising my right after i have purchased items to obviously fuckin use them in a combination of the two,what court or jury/judge would not side with me in the sueing of a large coporation over something as stupid as watching the shittiest nudy movie ever when thats strictly what i wanted to do and intended to do after i saw the ad(the picture ot the poster you pasted in there),ya the same add that sold me on the idea of buying the two.

I was hoping the blinking eyes would indicate sarcasm. Deep Throat from the watergate scandal got his codename after the movie was out, one would have to assume thats where it originated. I guess a post like this really ages me, DOH!!!

absolutely not. first off, all history isn't US history. And even US history doesn't usually cover the watergate scandal. i have a master's degree in history, and during my public education (k-12) deep throat was not mentioned once. watergate was, but not deep throat.
the first time i heard it discussed with any depth was in a presidential history class as an undergraduate.
i taught US history in 5 districts in 2 different states, and in not one textbook was deep throat mentioned.
