Full Version: What Do I Use?
help me!!!! i am brand new to this xbox modding and i want to know what chip, what software, and what hard-drive to install in my box. i have some info but its outdated whats the new scoop?
1. read the what modchip thread (any will do)
2. xbmc/unleashx for dash, apps just get newest dvd2xbox, dvdx2 etc
3. any ide/pata hdd, will need to be lockable for a softmod.
please do a bit of research

i dont know almost anything i know i have a v1.4 box with a focus chip i am very new and i dont know much about this topic any suggestions or preferences would be nice i dont care anything i just need some input by someone else. the info i have is outdated so i dont know the new technology
