I got mine launch day.
Thanks to oxjeremy334, my secretary's kid has one too. beerchug.gif

Don't have one, Don't want one. I was not a big fan of the games on the Xbox (mainly FPS's) and I'm not a fan of online play so buying a Xbox 360 would be a big waste of cash on my part. I have 9 different console's hooked up right now so I think I'm good on the whole console front. I even own some dupes incase one of my consoles breaks on me I won't have to go out and buy a new one. wink.gif
VOlition
Owned since day one when it came out, got 3 year extra warranty on it too.
flashfreak
Got mine last week here in Australia, played it everday and love it.

And pd0 is not as great as i expected. Picking up far cry instincts predator tomorrow, yeah!!!
THDVL
I just bought one about 3 days ago and I love it! I got GRAW for my first game and I think it was a great decision.. The game is killer! Probably go to wallyworld tomorrow and get Oblivion. I had to get the damn core package as best buy was sold outta the premium which really blows.. I wanted the silver dvd drive wink.gif .. Oh well, I have my preorder of the chrome faceplate and dvd drive cover from Xtender. Cant wait to get it.. too bad I have to wait till mid april for it to come it. I really hope that in the near future we will be able to run homebrew apps on it. I can just imagine the possibilites of XBMC running on the 360. Great console! I've had no probs with over heating, lock up's or anything and I've been playin the hell outta it.

Waiting for unsigned code execution...

I'm not going to put a dime on it before i can freely run what I like (i.e. Linux)

Karlos The Jackal
I got one after X-mas over in the UK, and i love it smile.gif

I got a primum for only £220 so im happy smile.gif
kdezzy78
I got a core on Nov. 22. I had to wait in line at Wal-mart tongue.gif, it was only for about 4 hours. I just found an HDD in my area about two weeks ago, so ive been enjoying the fruits of the marketplace.
decube
Got it on launch day here in sweden, only 2 hours waiting in line and the 360 premium was mine smile.gif No heating problems or bugs.
alou
I got a prem one on launch too here in Greece and Oblivion is about to get me fired (from my job).
The.Deceitful
I work at GameStop so it wasn't hard. smile.gif
On my second now....

First one had overheating problems and sent it to a repair facility in Texas. They sent me a new one with an EXTRA HDD because I sent my with it. So I had 2 HDD's

Second one came and they gave me a complimentary 2 year service contract for switching my Live account to 360 since I've had live since day 1. No problems yet and thoroughly enjoying Oblivion ATM.
Roupus
Got mine on Launch Day! Waited in my car outside of walmart and was planning to go stand in line when ppl started to show up. Then I awoke and it was 9 in the morning, not good. All the 360's were sold out at the store I was at so i raced down to Future shop and got myself the last core, not to proud of the core but it was available.

No glitches no freezes!

Hello. You have 9 consoles? I hope their the ones that cant be emulated. You must be collecting them. I had all the consoles from atari all the way up2 today, but i only use the emulators to play my games. The PC/Xbox can emulate Most of the consoles anyway. Takes up less space & can do things the orignals can't.

I love playing my X360. Oblivion is not an online multiplayer game. You think all x360 games are going to be fps? Most games can be played online, offline, system-link, co-op, etc... If you don't want to play online then don't, but you do spend a lot of time online with your computer. So are you going to get a PS3? if yes, then are you going to play online? if yes, then you just made a false statement. If not . Have fun playing all by yourself.
Anubis-MG
Hells yeah I got 2 on the day before they were released in stores then sold one on ebay and kepted the

other.

So far all is good as far as no bugs or faulty hardware.

I think I will buy another one when a modchip comes out just so I can play backups and homebrew.

And if nothing happens soon I may buy a new original xbox and mod it to play backups and Media.
happosai1
Got lucky and got mine in December, however I'm on my 3rd one now.

First one had lock up issues with the red ring of light

Second one, same thing.

Third one works fine. Lovin Oblivion. I do have to compliment MS on how quick a turn around there is on exchanging my faulty systems. The whole process only took about a week and a half to get my good system. Only bad thing was that one of reps told me to format my HDD when it wasn't necessary. Good thing that was before Oblivion came out.
skater_4_life_ez
i bought 3 at zero hour sold 2 on ebay and bought a 32 inch hd lcd tv no bugs nothing

ohh and i currently have 18 games for it i wanna collect them all
lord^infamous
The 360 is a waste of money to me. I might be in a small percent but the way I see it is that my xbox runs circles around the 360. People say to me I should get one because of 50 inch HD plasma but i'm not too concerned oh how a game looks because when I buy a game I buy it for the game play and not the graphics. I will admit that when the 360 is as expandable as the xbox I will get one.
Altima NEO
everytenminutes.com baby!

Ive had that one die, and MS sent me another one, been working great since

Some of the consoles I own can be emulated but the emu is just not the same as the console itself. Room is not an issue with me and yes I like to collect games and consoles. I know Oblivion is not online and I'm aware that not all online games are FPS. I'm also aware that I can play Oblivion on my PC so why waste $400 USD on a Xbox 360 for one game, that is a waste of cash. No, I'm not getting a Playstation 3 either so it's not that I'm hating on the Xbox 360. I've played my friend's Xbox 360 and I just was not impressed with it. I just don't care for modern gaming anymore as it's all about graphics and online play. Gaming use to be gamers making games for gamers but now it's all about CEO's making their pockets as fat as possible. Games themselves are just not as good as they use to be, IMO. So I'm done with modern gaming as I just don't enjoy most of the modern games.
theone3000
ill get one when micro$oft drops the price to $150.
sabbath_dude
I really want a 360 but at the moment they're way over priced. The main reason I want one is so I can play G.R.A.W. on live!!. But to get a premium package with that game is probably going to cost me about £300!!. I cant justify paying that for a console i'll only be playing (for now anyway) one game on. Also I already have 2 modded original xboxs that do everything the 360 does + a hellava lot more biggrin.gif . I think i'll wait untill the end of the year when MS drop the price waaaayyy down to piss Sony off and pick one up then. For now I suppose I'm happy playing Summit Strike on live and the awsome XBMC for all my media needs!.

I totally disagree with you on that. Yes games are big business but games nowadays are sooo much better than they were say 10 years ago. I only recently discovered Xbox Live for games like Halo 2, Ghost Recon 2, Burnout 3, etc, etc and my mind was and still is totally blown away by it!. Its just so much fun and too addictive!.
quarky42
Hate me if you want. I won one of them through the Mountain Dew EveryTenMinutes promotion. I sold it for big bucks on eBay and made a buttload of money off of twits that couldn't stand to be without an xbox 360. In fact I made so much money that I found an xbox 360 on ebay 7 days later (5 days after release) and bought it for roughly $535 including 2 vidieo games. I took some of the profits and bought 3 controllers and a game. I took two of the games I didn't want and exchanged them 100% for two other games that I wanted much more. Oh ya and I kept both games that came with the first xbox 360 I won.

No 12 hours in the rain/snow freezing my balls waiting in line with a bunch of pissed off people. Roughly a week after that (2-3 weeks after initial release) I got a call from the Sam's Club shipping manager I talked to and he let me know they got a new shipment coming in the next morning if I wanted to come stand in line for it. I talked to him before I bought the second xbox 360 so I could have had a third one if I wanted to.

So by now you are pissed off at me for being lucky or for taking advantage of people or for not having to put up with what you went through for your xbox 360. No problem. Just keep in mind that my sharing this with you was not to tick you off or to brag. I don't need your respect or your emotion. I am merely pointing out that the 360 really wasn't impossible to get ahold of because so many people were willing to camp out and others were willing to wait longer for it. If everyone had known how to mess with the odds of winning the 360 or known how to talk to the shipping manager and get them to tell you when a shipment was arriving, then I couldn't have possibly had it this easy.

As it is, today I have a premium 360 bundle, 5 games, 4 wireless controllers, and I still didn't have to spend a single cent to get it. I wasn't lucky either. I made the odds in my favor when I entered the contest. I made money by selling to people that couldn't bear to let their little dipstick kid go without a 360 for christmas. It was their decision to buy it for so much. They found it valuable. I just searched ebay, found the right deal a week later, and jumped on it. I'm also the same guy that refuses to buy a video game brand new. I'll wait till I can get a used one off ebay for $20 or much less.

I'm not better than you folks that decided to camp out... just cunning and overworked. I put in 60 hours a week and couldn't take a day off to camp. That might have actually been kinda fun. I'm glad you guys that did camp managed to make it work out for you. I know a few people that camped with friends, bought 3 360's and sold them and bought more on the next shipment.

I figured someone out there might find my experience with this whole fiasco interesting. For surely Microshaft really wanted to sell a lot more 360s a lot quicker.
Wiggin78
I bought 2 premiums at Zero Hour and sold both on Ebay. I searched for one for myself for the next 3 weeks. Finally when the local Wal-Mart got a shipment I bought 3 more, kept one for myself and sold the other 2 on Ebay. I also sold my Zero hour faceplate, sweatshirt, and key chains on Ebay. The 360 has been vary profitable for me. I plan on buying 10 PS3's. Free 360 and PS3 for me. biggrin.gif
Andronicus
My vote recently changed to "Plan to buy one soon" due to the recent DVD mod sucsess.
Ming3r
Price drop when it rolls around.

I've got a feeling maybe when the PS3 rolls around?
Wolf12886
Grapics are sick, but the launch lineup just wasn't there, no variety, the one game i was looking forward to sucked worse than i could have possibly imagined (PD) not to mention all the overheating and what not. until more games come out and it gets more reliable, im not getting one, the only good game ive played for it is COD which is very good, but its not enough to warent $400 for a live ready system.
DJFresh82
hi,
I proudly own a Xbox 360 Core Bundle through dell.com for 3 weeks now. Lovin it all the way so far. Never had any problems so far, Sold out most of the core stuff and some of the extra Bundle stuff also, and got the high def component hookups and the 20 GB hard Drive. The custom sound tracks are kewl, overides every game so far including Demo's and even the Xbox live arcade games, that's really kewl. I changed up the face plate and such but would've loved to have the chrome finish DVD Drive Bezel also, will get it soon. Would like more 3rd person shooters though, not much of a 1st person shooter fan although the games look great!!!! biggrin.gif
stezo2k
Had mine around 3 months and I cant keep off it, great console
LVmOddER
Got mine on 1.6.06 at 6:30 PM in a local Circuit City. Didn't even have to wait in line for 12 hours or anything becuase I WAS the first one in line when I came!! tongue.gif

I'll get one if it is ever modded to run unsigned code and the price drops below $200, otherwise no. I don't think either of those things will happen in the next 12 months so I'll abstain from actually voting in the poll.

My thoughts exactly.

Suit yourselves (people who think the 360 isnt worth it).

While im having a blast on Burnout Revenge (which totally KICKS the Xbox versions ass btw, you can actually SEE the oncoming traffic in time to dodge it now its in 720p) you guys can moan about how its not worth the price.

If they ever sort out the backwards compatibility then the 360 will be even better as playing Xbox games at 720p gives them a whole new lease of life. MUCH better than the PS2 improvements for PS1 games (though considering Xbox games have to be recompiled then no surprise).

glad you're enjoying it so much. the 360 version is much better but int he end it's the same game. i bought the 360 version and it was much easier than the xbox one. every time i played a level i'd get gold in one or two tries. I wish they'd remake burnout 3. I enjoyed it more since the levels were more out there revenge just feels more industrial and traffic checking just makes the game less challenging in my opinion. but it's worth buying it again though. Well i reserved my x360 around march 2005. Due to low shipments people were going to get calls to pick them up. They didnt' have enough so I didn't get a call. I called them to see where I was on that list. I was the next person on the list. I was shocked and I expected mine would arrive in no more than a week or so. since they only need to get like 1 and i get it. but yea gamestop started being gay and recieved the systems but sold them online instead of shipping them out to stores. They told me i should at least get it before christmas. december 24th I'm awakened by a call saying my x360 came it. and I laughed, because they were right. It arrived before christmas. Got pd0 didn't like so I was dissapointed got doa 4 beat it. then put the 360 away. brought it back out for G.R.A.W and revenge and might get rumble roses now. so I don't know. I dont' play my 360 much, sure I can play it online and play other people, but i'm not into all that online playing. That's why I'm not into the system so much i suppose since it mainly focuses on everything being online. I played revenge online a few times, once me and some other people were facing some people from france, and they kept dissing us, and we started to diss them back. they kept saying stupid americans etc etc, and yet they're using a product created by americans. after that I really didn't want to play online anymore. cuz ridiculous stuff like that goes on and it just takes the fun out of the game.
pugpowr
To day, when i got home from work, there was a 360 premium waiting for me at the dinner table.

My wife said that i never buy anything for my self, only to her, so she gave me a 360......

How about that?
c0d3_z3r0
I had mine since midnight on the turn of the new year.
No problems with the console at all and Oblivion is awesome!

Disagree, I don't care as you have a right to your own opinion. Since I'm not a fan of online play or care about pretty graphics modern gaming is just not for me. Modern gaming is all about money, the games cost more then most of the cartridge games from back in the day that actually had a circuit board in them. You got all the nice fees for playing online and downloading maps which is just stupid (no I'm not poor, just don't think I should have to pay to play with idiots or pay for maps that should have been in the game in the first place). I'm no longer paying to play online with rude people, cheating lamers, or getting cussed out by some timmie (someone under the age of 18), that is just not my idea of fun. Modern gaming is just a cookie cutter industry and that is just boring. Games from back in the day were about gameplay, fun factor, and innovation (granted there were not as many games out back then so doing something new was not that hard) which is what I look for in a game.

You mentioned Halo 2, well I feel that Halo 2 is one of the worse FPS's ever made. I traded my Halo 2 for 4 NES games a couple weeks ago. The more I played Halo 2 the more I hated it as there is no skill needed to win in Halo 2, just dumb luck. Plus there is way too many morons online in that game.
Jeffrc
dont have one yet, i havent been excited about any games that have been released yet. until some games i want are out, and until i can buy whatever i want( ie screw all this $900 package crap) im waiting it out.

I wasn't having a dig at you bud, just saying what I thought. But live doesn't cost very much considering what you get for your money + most games come with a free Live trail so you dont really need to pay for extra downloadable content etc. Yeah you do get a lot of dicks online but once you play a few ppl and get a friends list going it becomes much less of an issue. As for your comment "I feel that Halo 2 is one of the worse FPS's ever made" I dont see how but yeah that is just your opinion I suppose.

Gaming has always been about making money. Its not like they made the first games consoles and sold them to the public just for fun is it?. Its just nowadays its a much bigger and more streamlined business.
