ok when i plug in my network cable my xbox decides it doesnt want to give me my ip address what wrong with it?
If you are not going through a router with DHCP enabled, you will need to set up a static IP address on the Xbox, with the same subnet asyour main PC, also you will need a crossover cable instead of a straight thru.
I cheap router can be had for about £20, and it will save a lot of hassle.
If you are using a router do you use DHCP or static IP address's.
