So I had this X White Chip That was laying around. I had pulled it out of a buddys system and it was working when it can out. It sat for a few months before I tried it out. I swaped out my chip for this one, soldered the DO wire to the back side of the chip, and just put it on my existing pin header. I Turned it on, and the the box turned off and on 3 times and then started flashing. I fliped the dip switch on the chip and rebooted. It booted to the Orignal Bios. Then I smelled something burning, so I shut down, pulled the chip and the dam thing burned me. Anyone????

sounds like you had it on the wrong pins.

the chip should have been sitting on the pinheader as close to th front of the box as possible. The 'X' in the word Xenium should also have been toward the back of the xbox, what pins did you use and in what orientation did you install it?
