the all famous question ... what bios would i use to get a 250 gb drive with 1 big F drive to work with the stats above ???

thanks everyone .. been great help to me so far with the other issues i had with my buddies box ... now i am trying to upgrade mine to a bigger drive ...

i'd use the latest x2 bios (x2_5035_vOld_512k.bin). patch it with x2ool or x2 config maker.
also, i'm pretty sure that is a 1mb chip

The X2.x chips have two 512kb banks. A totaly of one meg, yes, but you need them sized to 512kb, and on separate banks.

Having said that, theperfek001's suggestion is a fine one. You could use an older bios like the x2.4981.06 bios for one fat F drive as well, but you'd need to resize it to 512kb as it is not already that size, unlike the x2.5035.
