I ordered a 2.6CE from him last Monday and I've stopped recieving responses from him for 3days now. Not feelin' so great about the transaction anymore especially after finally finding this thread through the google search.

I cant wait for X-S to get their new box up for searching... it would've been helpful, not blaming them though as it was my responsability.

As I said earlier, I had paid on April 11th for this unmodded xbox. I still haven't received it after 20 days.

Comic Book Guy never answered my PM's after receiving the payment. I know he has read them (The status shows that he is online sometime everyday). So, I am pretty sure now that I got screwed.

What is the recourse now? Does filing a paypal complaint do anything?

Yo. PayPal will refund your money. They always side with the purchaser, even if they are in the wrong--I've been screwed by PayPal by them wrongly refunding buyers on eBay even though I sent the item and did nothing wrong. It might be a little different because this wasn't an eBay auction, but I can't imagine them giving any of you guys any trouble about the refund. This guy's an idiot if he is scamming people because he's commiting serious crimes and, unless he's commiting identity theft as well as fraud, then he will be easily caugt and prosecuted. It's in his best interest to refund everyone or ship the items if he is scamming people.

Yeah I gave up on him. I'll let Paypal/etc do their thing. I ended up buying a 2.6ce, 1.0-1.5 solderless (As I have a 1.4) and 2.6 programmer and hopefully it should be here in a few days so I can get my Xbox back together and turn it into a functioning media center.

yea just file a claim with paypal....and if they ask for some proof...use this thread so they can see he rips everyone off....that should work.....they give u 30 days (around that) to file a claim tho

He never responded to my paypal complaint so I won, but he cleaned out his paypal far before that so none of us will get our money back.

Take legal action with his local law enforcement. Contact them via yellow pages dot com and look up for local police dept. via his address given threw paypal. At the very least he can be charged with mail fraud.

I'm sorry to here that you guys got screwed by this guy. This has happen to me with other people on the forums. I went through the paypal refund thing with one guy and they said that he was no longer a paypal customer and I might not recieve funds back. Two months later I recieved the money from paypal.... they must have pulled it out of his credit card or something, I'm sure paypal screwed him. Anyways I got my money back so i'm sure you guys will to. Hang in there.
