i posted in audio forum also, want to try here since i am new to it.
Since xbox wont read cd-r's with mp3s on them , how can i transfer mp3s under my softmod, so i can listen to them when i play on live?
is there a special folder they go into? or how would ya go about doing this?

Thanks

You can try different media like CD-RW/DVD-R, or you can FTP them over.

XBMC will play mp3's but if you want to play XBL, you have to make them MSsoundtrack's.
you have to convert them to .wma's and use a program to put them on your HDD. <link>

Or you can use the xboxdash to rip them onto your HDD. Xboxdash will convert them for you. (i'm sure about cda's but not of mp3's)

You can only listen to the music on XBL if the game you play has MSsoundtracks. (i think)

Yeah, you won't be able to use the M$ dash to convert. Your best bet is to convert and burn to a cd then rip with M$ dash or using the audio manager. I can't remember the name of the manager though.

i see ok, so u M$ dash will read burnt song disks, as long as ya convert them first then... huh.gif

btw the link has nothing in the tools section lol

now ftp them over but to what folder are they stored in to listen on live?

xbox soundtrack manger works, but when i upload a song, it converts it, then i restore my M$ dash, and then all THE SONGS ARE gone, even the ones i used m$ dash to put on. but there still in the folder (through ftp ).

hmmm
