I've got various multipath bookmarks for my videos, mostly with smb paths. Unfortunately I have neither the cash nor the room to have a dedicated server, so it runs from the PC in my bedroom, which is not always on. When I open one of these bookmark paths and the pc is not on, I have to wait for the smb timeout period before I can view the local files. I remember seeing that the smb timeout was 30 seconds, but it seems a lot longer to me. Maybe I'm just impatient. Anyway, is there a way to adjust this smb timeout? If not, would the devs consider adjusting this? 30 seconds seems a long time to keep trying to access an smb server. Surely if it doesnt respond in about 5 seconds, then its not going to respond at all. Thanks guys.

I'd never really thought about it till I read your post but it would be nice if we could change this. Anyway had a look through the xml nothing there, so had a search around and found
this thread from a couple of months ago. So looks like there's no way to change it at the moment.
