I've been thinking about hand painting an Oblivion faceplate for the longest time. Do you guys think it would be cool? I would make it look like the cover of the Collectors Edition box. Feel free to suggest any tips on this!

that would be unique. Are you good with oil painting? because with oil painting, you can create texture and bump effect with layers, look into that.

I agree with the oil paint as suggested by yellowblanket. I haven't used oil paint myself for anything but I have seen work done with it and you can go from simple but very unique and bold to very intricate depending on your style and skill. I definately would love to see a hand painted face plate at least. Very cool idea.

Do you think I can find some oil paint at Wal Mart? I am a very artistic guy but I usually only paint and draw on paper, and I'm a beginner at PhotoShop. I might go pick up some oil paint tonight and get started on a faceplate.

try Michael, they have the best oil paint and i believe they are having a big sale right now as well.

I would advise not buying oil paint from walmart. Their oil paints have been said to be poor quality and dont come out good. I would suggest going to Michaels arts and crafts store, they have some pretty amazing paint there.
